Not to be contrary, just to drop some truth.
The bump travel between a 3" lifted SOA spring and 1" lifted SUA setup is negligible or equal, and SUA has compromises in handling, ground clearance, cost and labor, and axle wrap, that's right, SUA conversion on the Tacoma has more axle wrap than a good SOA spring. All about the geometry and direction the front spring eye pushes on the front hanger to push the truck.

I starting working on a pros/cons/facts between SOA and SUA, coming soon

Bump travel and usable travel is way more important for me than an extra inch for the gram, but the more of both the better. Maybe I'll make a lover shackle to try out. I already cylce a lot of travel and am quite honestly being greedy for no reason other than I can't not tinker.

will the hammer hanger still be worth it if I only use stock leaf springs with an add a leaf on some fox 2.0 resi shocks

I see most of you have the shock relocate kit just not sure how much of a difference it will make

has anyone also fabricated their own crossmember with archive build your own kit so that you can keep the factory spare location? If possible i was thinking of going around the spare or tying into the stock hitch receiver

Hh are about way more than droop
They will make a noticeable difference in ride quality, handling and big increase in durability. Check out the posts by @greenEFSI in this thread, impressive droop with stock +AAL, but he has long shocks in stock location that by my math would probably limit bump travel, but he does rock stuff so probably not intrusive

You can't make a cross tube that works with spare tire under and bolts to inboard side of Hh

I have the somewhat extend travel rear shocks at 9.1" FOX-985-26-117 for lift from 0-1.5"

Those will limit droop ~1.5-2" inches with stock springs and 3"+ with aftermarket springs

Are they a bad shock to have with the HH? do I have to worry about over extending the shocks?
Should I have gone with the 9.6" for 2"-3" of lift FOX-985-26-118?
how much off a difference will adding the poly bushings with stock shackles make?

Not bad with Hh, those 9" are limit with stock hangers probably. Run straps if want.
Why do poly bushings when your shocks are the limit?

Got my HH in last week and they are BEEFY! Thanks, Eric!

Should I be running them in “stock” or “droop” position with Dakar leaf packs on a 2nd gen?

Edit: Nevermind...after a beer I now understand how the mounting positions differ. The hanger slides forward for the “stock” position.

Yeah that is a pretty good choice, if the collapsed length is 15.2", you really don't want to exceed that collapsed length or you start bottoming shocks requiring bump spacing, which is counterproductive.
This is the reason for doing an Archive shock relocation, getting great droop without hurting your bump travel.

So 1/4” ride height loss in the rear is the standard?

V3 looks very nice! Will pick between one of two companies.

Thank you. There is no drop, and no lift.

Thanks Eric for making a great, beefy product!

Before photo. After 20,000 miles of mostly highway, but definitely some rough roads, our stock hangers were bent and touching the frame, shown by the dust free point

    Afterwards:

Notice our custom Deaver springs, beefy as well. The ride has definitely improved.
