If I had to go over again...I may have ended up with a Tiger. At the time, I wanted nothing to do with off road on a motorbike. Last year...I bought a dirt bike. :anonymous:

No regrets on the ST3 though. What a bike! I somehow managed to buy a 'one of the greats' without realizing it at the time. I have been considering selling it though. It sits way too much now.

I have a 13 street triple R and all it's taken is oil, pads and a valve check. The thing just goes. 13k miles also.

Ive regretted every bike I ever sold haha. Even if they’re not the best there’s something about letting two wheels go! I need to move somewhere with better riding weather...

Triumph would be a big jump for me mentally. I’ve never owned a European bike. Never been a fan. But I’m not a brand loyalist. If product A out performs product B and C for intended uses . . . It’s the better bike.

This is why I think Indian will crush HD in coming years. Enough people know how to research and compare and buy based on value/ride/components/experience/reliability/etc. rather than simply relying on an “image” over any innovation.

Took a decent ride this weekend to start visiting memorial sites for this year's Tour of Honor. In order to get through DC early Saturday morning we opted to leave Friday after work and stop for the night in Laurel, MD. Not really that far to ride but staging us for a Saturday morning ride into Washington.

    https://new.spotwalla.com/trip/3288-16cc59ac-7633/view#

Our Spotwalla track for the ride. We managed to get one memorial in Baltimore on Friday night.

Monument to George Washington in an old section of Baltimore. Brick streets and all. Apparently you can climb the steps of a spiral staircase inside the tower for an awesome view of the city. Might have to revisit this sometime.

Called it a night shortly after, nothing special just a Day's Inn around Laurel that set us up to hit DC. Visited one more MD memorial in Bladensburg on the way.

Crappy pic but the parking situation wasn't good. Memorial is a short angled wall with some benches honoring folks who died on 9/11. The memorial itself is nice, getting a decent pic with the bike in not so great. Washington turned into a giant clustrf**k almost immediately. There are 4 memorials we need to visit scattered around the city and even though we hit the town before 9. I'm not sure if it was the unexpected traffic at that hour or the fact I hadn't had breakfast yet but after about 3 redirects from Garmin just trying to get to the first memorial and wasting over 30 minutes I decided to write off DC for the day. Heading out of town we pointed ourselves toward King George, VA to visit a FJR tech day being hosted by a friend of ours and see if anyone needed help.

The bike on the right had it's front forks off and being rebuilt while it's twin 2013 was getting a Throttle position sensor replaced in hopes of solving a surging issue.[IMG]

Of course some owners just came by to offer advice, smoke cigars, and mock those doing the actual work. I don't smoke but will admit to appropriate mocking of those deserving it. The 2006 FJR 1300AE is waiting on its new owner from Florida to come pick it up in another few weeks. The event host, Intech, had picked it up on the new owner's behalf and has been going over it for him getting it ready to get back on the road and put to use the way Yamaha intended it to be used.

Valve check, throttle body sync, spark plugs, air filter, oil and filter change are all done. Windscreen is off bike right now for storage reasons so it fits under a shelf in the garage. I'm sending down a set of nylon windscreen screws for it this week as my small contribution. We hung out for almost 4 hours and leant a hand where we could then saddled up and got stuck in traffic once more getting home. I hate the Washington, DC area! Roughly 375-400 miles and her first time out with me this year.

@uhplifted told me he got this. Not sure if he has the Harley still. But it looks like a fun replacement!

    Said he’s keeping the Harley.

Even though his tag works, his profile is “unavailable”.

I towed my dirtbike down to ride today. Only put maybe 15 miles in total and hit my shoulder. First ride since surgery in november. Not so pleasant, tried toughing it out a little but i was getting some pain and motion is now limited after the drive back home. Oh well.

Not good man. Try and keep the range of motion going and ice the heck out of it. Also you may need to take two cold ones every hour and a half for pain.

    be safe man

My CT90 has always felt like it was missing something. Specifically some kind of basket or milk crate or something on the cargo rack other than the battery I strapped onto it. I took a $9 walmart pine crate, cut the length down, painted it, slapped on a decal I've been saving for a while and used some scrap I had laying around to make a battery holder AND most importantly, a six pack holder. I'm beyond tickled with how it turned out. Two wing nuts to take it off if I really needed to. The battery cover comes off with two thumb screws on the sides.

Apologies if the photos show up giant.. I really need to figure out a way to quickly resize them..

I know these feels. Went out for the first time in a while yesterday, took a spill 60 feet into the single track and twisted up my ankle pretty bad. I should have had my boots tighter. I rode the rest of the time but out of the single track and just cruised the rest of the time.
