I got either a Camry or a Corolla; I forget which...

What I'm worried about is that they won't hook up my aftermarket backup camera correctly and it'll lead to a repeat of the evap core replacement!

    :annoyed:

Didn't dislike the truck itself but GM's poor quality and lies are what drove me away

I would look in the lower portion of the c channel where the front of the leaf springs attach to it. Look in front of that spot and behind it. That's where mine was perforated on both sides and I would have never known it if it weren't for the dealership doing their job and inspecting it like they should. And it was during a routine oil change.

My frame had surface rust in other places and some slight scaling but I never would have known that it was rusted that bad in one particular spot. I would post a picture of it but I lost the phone that it was on.

I found mine today..passenger side, almost right behind the Tacoma badge on the door. The exhaust hanger that touches that frame rail was falling off so I got down to look. Found a hole about the size of a nickel on the bottom where the hanger was. There's a 1x2 inch hole rotted through the outside rail closer to the front wheel.

Yes, exactly! But from inside out (side you can't see in the picture). I would crawl under there and actually inspect/feel inside the frame channel just above where that leaf bracket attaches.

I haven't tried that yet but it seems like mine is on the outside passenger rail at that spot

From what I can see without actually getting my face under there, the inside rail looks okay. The pics I posted are outside and underneath the area where the converters are. The big one is 1x2 inches. The smaller on the underside can fit a 10mm socket.

I did tonight yes. Just discovered it a few hours ago. I'm definitely not going on the highway with it.

I took a bunch of pictures under the truck earlier today; I had four Cooper Discoverer AT/3s in 225/70R15 that were installed in March 2019 and had well over 30K on them. I got a flat in January 2021 and had to replace one; That tire only had a few thousand miles on it, so I had my mechanic put it on the spare when he installed the 235/75R15 Coopers...

Remember that b/c you got the coating etc from Toyota you get a second inspection by Toyota of the frame before that 12 year day, regardless of what happens on sticker inspections. Totally free and they give you a loaner just like the first time.

I'd say look around and press on spots. The hanger on mine is what first prompted me to look closer today. Just pressing with my finger on the 2 areas I posted pics of, both of them gave way..that is just my finger, not a screwdriver or anything else.
