This^. It broke when removing and I fished out the pieces. My truck has 179,000 and has been lifted since I owned it two years. When removed the bearing is still in great shape. I had to swap a cv axle so I did the bushing while it was out.

Luckily the pieces were easy to find.

We dropped the tool in the diff and spent 4-6 hours fishing it out and I was 800 miles from home! So I’d say you had a smooth go of it! But yea mine broke and almost all others I’ve seen broke almost precisely like that!

Scares the shit out of me. Had the shop order one for my lift install on the 30th. Might as well while they have it apart

I shoved a thick plastic bag in the diff like the ECGS video... saved me a few headaches

I had a bag and a cloth in... couldn’t get it placed so dad dropped down to help pushed it back and said I got it... no no he didn’t get it, he didn’t watch the videos 30+ times! Still love him though, managed to fish it out with fishing hook and line!

The ARB eliminates the need for the bushing.
