They need to drop the 1 off the front of that price tag and it's more inline with what it's actually worth.

They sell for around that all day for nice examples on bring a trailer. Some have sold for more, some for less.

The part that is confusing me is the statement about the mileage and towing it behind an rv. I thought you couldn’t flat tow one of these due to the Tcase oiler being mechanically driven by the input shaft. Thus, if you flat tow without pulling the rear driveshaft it would burn up the Tcase?? Anyone got the full details on that?

conflicting info about that here. https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/towing-4runner-behind-rv-52606/

The tcase in 4hi and transmission in neutral kind of makes sense to alleviate the issue? Seems that should ensure the input shaft in the Tcase is spinning to send oil through the oil passages all around the Tcase.

That’s what I’m curious about as well. They are not meant to be towed like that. I’ve been considering adding rear selectable hubs to my full floater conversion so I can flat tow.

Got the whole “ultimate headlight mod” kit with bulbs used for song so figured I’d give it a shot. Seems a lot brighter.

So it’s one of two things with that towing statement.

The Tcase is toast from being flat towed in 2wd (no Tcase input shaft rotation). Mileage would tick up from this because of speedo gear location.

The Tcase got the proper oil from being in 4hi/trans in neutral. Mileage also ticks up in this situation.

?? would just have to check things out I guess. May try to check it out Friday.

That is maybe the worst I’ve ever seen even after working in a few tire shops in my younger days.

I showed it to Falcon and they sent me a return label 30 min later. Went back to DT on my way home and they dismounted it for free so I could return it
