It all really comes down to how much and in what format you camp. I had 20+ nights in just a topper setup, then over 100 nights in a topperezlift setup, and after all of that I decided that it was worth it for me to sell the other config and cover the difference in cost for the extra liveable space. Of course, 60% or so of my camping is in the winter so having the ability to heat the space, dry shit out, and sit inside is really priceless all while keeping lower profile than a FWC or similar.

It's not for everyone, but I'm very happy with the change in format.

it honestly does not deflate too much and even then was pretty comfy. I think you can almost do it full just not blankets, bags etc.

What's the starting price again? Don't want to send an email just to ask pricing when they got others to respond to. Thanks!

For the current pricing, I'd want to wait until they have resolved the small remaining issues (leaking tent at the corners, sealing at the tailgate). If it were still intro pricing, I'd pick one up to do a comparison to the current camper (and would have to do some upgrades to make them comparable including a vinyl wrap the inside of the roof to make it dark).

Haha no, I am very happy with my setup; I wanted to see how the pricing compared with others. I wouldn't purchase one until they had 100+ units out and made revisions. SP did more of a GFC style launch without prototyping for years like some other companies, unless they did it secretly. I think it's great more people are producing them and I'm glad to watch them grow!

and +2 with @JasonLee - these dang transparent roofs lol. you can't stand on these either right?

No tailgate seal will be perfect, and a vinyl wrap will suck in the sun. Total Composites has been posting some temp studies on their ig and there’s a 30 degree difference between white and black in the sun.

Everything is always for sale, especially when the market is in my favor. If I sold it, I'm buying a full size and another Vagabond and doing the same build on it!

Dont want to put non-SP talk in this thread though. Super stoked to see them take off and more campers out there.

Although my canopy is black, I am thankful for the white top. Offers lower temp when I sleep in it when it’s popped up. White doesn’t bother me cus I always wake up early when I camp.

Agreed, I saw the Total Composites "study".
I would keep the outside white and put the vinyl wrap on the inside of the roof ceiling to block the light.

true they did design it to be transparent and what they had at the time. Did not seem like they were planning to change it.

I was thinking of wrapping it with a lighter grey or some form of grey that is not fucking white. I just cant stand the white but I get it. Just cant stand the white. did I say that already haha.
