Hi I looking for some ideas on replacing my wheels on my taco.
My taco currently has the factory 5 Y spoke aluminum wheels 16 inch. The previous owner had plastic dipped them black probably because of corrosion and clear coat damage . I am still up in the air as to trying to get a factory wheel or aftermarket one.

Check tirerack. But I’m not fully understanding how they show wheels with multiple offsets and say they all fit. Lighter wheels = less rotating mass.

Check local fb and craiglist. Always seems some one is unloading some OEM wheels. SCS Stealth 6 wheels were my choice. Check them out too.

imo set a budget then go from there. wheels can go from 150-1000+ (note i got that last quote in CAD). 17s there is for sure a larger variety then you will also need to look at new tires then worry about rub etc. i recently just did this exercise for what i wanted budget said no so i decided to use that on other mods instead ha.

What size did you go with on the stealth 6 and did you have to use any spacers or any mods? They look nice

Thanks. I am running a small lift. I put a set of 2016 oem sport suspension with a 1/2 inch spacer upfront and the rear has a single add a leaf. I only have a couple hundred dollars in it.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/review-3rd-gen-suspension-on-2nd-gen.542843/page-2#post-17681727

I am running the 17x8.5 -10 with 265/70/17 falken wildpeaks.

I am going to try and find a lighter tire my next go around but I can't say anything bad about the wildpeaks.

Decide on what your tire size will be first. This will have an impact on fit such as how far out they stand with the wheels off set, how close to the UCA, and of course rubbing. The width of the tire could also make some wheels not compatible. I prefer a skinnier tire for weight savings and traction characteristics. Since I already had wheel spacers, the factory SEMA wheels had plenty of off set to get the stance I want. Just remember, with a good looking stance you'll probably be kicking up some rocks if you run anything slightly aggressive on the wheels. Hope that helps.

My set up. 245/75/17 Toyo AT3 E Rated. Lighter than my 265 Wildpeaks in SL. I run a camper now so need the E Rated.

Hi I’ve been looking at some 3rd gen 16inch wheels I checked the offset and
It should work . My question is would my
Tpms sensors work in the new wheels ?

Thanks! No, the factory Sema wheels now come in this bronze. Looks to be a solid durable coat. Really happy with them. I roll a tall skinny tire so I don't mind the narrowness of the wheel. Have wheel spacers with these. 245/75/17
