Not knife but goes hand by hand. Got my new sharpening system in from edge pro. Been spending some time with kitchen knives to get the hang of it.

 

Did get a new blade a few weeks back that I have been using as edc. Wasn’t sure if I’d like the auto for everyday use but after carrying for a week I’m very pleased

 

Today I have my Spyderco Native 5 with blurple G10 scales.

 

Japanese gardening tool. Called a soil knife, or Japanese hori-hori tool. Very useful. Cleaned up some rust with Ballistol and sandpaper. Looking pretty good, and more than good enough for digging in the garden with.
Is it a knife or just a tool ? Well, aren’t all knifes tools of one sort or another ?

I want one of those. I was supposed to be in Japan before the Covid rendered my airline tix useless. I was gonna pick one up there as an inexpensive souvenir.

 

I've got one of those!

 

In addition to this one, I have a Native 5 lightweight. The Natives are my favorite Spyderco design.

 

I really like that shape. The sage series and the cheap one efficient I think all are pretty similar shape to me. It's a great utilitarian design.

That’s probably why my discover card alerts went off. Bladehq has caused all my auto payments go bad, and no I’ve got to spend what little free time fixing their f-up

 

.....all this talk of Spyderco Native 5’s made me realize that I forgot to post this. What an amazing little guy I picked up a week ago. I’m the third owner, and other than pocket clip it looks like it’s brand new. REX-45 is sweet, though I’m still trying to dull it to no avail.

 

Had to be pretty recent. Haven't bought there in a while and I didn't get an email

 

Yup, I got the same email about 3 1/2 hours ago. And had bought and updated my card info at the time indicated in the email. On April 14 had been charged for a Uber three states away.

 

I so glad I didn't update my frauded card to new card info on bladehq.

 

Rex45 has been my top-top favorite for quite awhile now. The edge retention stays on par forever!
