It's funny how Ford is lambasting the tv waves with trade-in-your-Toyota-for-a-ford commercials, maybe Toyota's are outselling Fords at a astounding rate?? They keep paying Mike Rowe more and more money to talk them down,,but it seems to have no effect on Toyota sales.

    Funny how that works.

Meh, it's just business. If it wasn't for the last year with Toyota recalls it would probably be the other way around right now.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
I noticed that myself. I reminds me of a political smear campaign.

    "They suck. Vote for me!!!!"

I get a pretty good chuckle out of those ads. I agree, never seem to talk smack about Tacos or Tundras.

Yea I noticed that a while back. Usually that role of "Our shit is better do screw the rest" is reserved for chevy commercials.

The only reason they sell more is because they do fleet sales. To my knowledge Toyota doesnt do that.

It's having a pretty descent effect imo, I work in sales across the street from toyota, and it sure is dead over there! I'm glad I don't work there.
Both ford dealerships here are booming!

and this year ford has a full size truck with a ecoboost v6 that gets 350ish HP ( i forget numbers) and gets 25 mpg. They can take my 16.9 mpg midsize Tacoma when that comes out.

Like someone said above its just business . Mike is just honoring a contract he signed with Ford. I don't think their commercials will do much to Toyota's overall sales.

Smart people looking at resale value and longevity will still buy Toyota or Honda. That is just a plain and simple fact that unfortunately Chevy and Ford can't hold a candle too.

I like Mike Rowe just fine, he seems to be very funny with a wonderful dry humor and smartassness. That said I will not be buying a Ford or Lee jeans because he told me to. Also I will not be purchasing a chebby because Tim Allen said to. They are compensated spokespeople and nothing more.
