1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

Need to get mine replaced. A previous owner used Pilkington glass. It makes noise on the highway. It looks like they used screws instead of the special rivets. I'll need to order new trim, drill out the holes from screws, get a special rivet gun, larger rivets, and try to straighten it out before getting some mobile glass company to do the installation.

 

The pilkington glass is one of the three big brands you want, but I know on 100s you guys have lots of trim and those rivets that leave room for noise and paint damage if done improperly. I had Fuyao glass put in the LC cause OEM is an actual arm and a first born and Pilkington was months out.

All I see is a three-speed PowerGlide that descended from the Dynaflow side of GM.

I need to get a new windshield on the Ferd. it has oem glass in it but a rock chip killed it.

the seal sounds like a harmonica while going 80+ into a headwind too lol

 

If I could find an auto glass place with attention to detail like that it wouldn’t be a problem. Options are super limited out here.

 

Tried to like the Merrell's as my ex always backpacked in them but they fit me funny so I got another pair of Salomon's

 

I have a set of slip on Merrill's, probably the most comfortable shoos ever. My wife calls them my ugly shoes. They are great for around the house but I still like hiking in Vans.

 

I had a set of merrils I loved, haven't bought another in a long time but one day I will when I plan to hike again.

 

I have several pairs, as I wear them daily (wearing now) but they tend to wear quickly IMO.

 

They tend to last for a good while, and they're comfortable as hell (on everyone else).

Can't find a pair that fit me well

 

I have wide feet and like Keens hiking boots

 

That sounds backward haha, hiking in Vans but wearing Merrells around the house

 

Keen's are nice too. I've got a pair of Danner's I use as my all purpose hiking and work boots now

 

No shoes on inside the household

 

I like Vasque but I have narrow feet, they fit better than most

 

I hike in chuck Taylor's

 

That would be a real bad idea on the Mt Whitney trail I did a few years back

 

That sounds awful, I don't even want to walk around a mall in Chucks

 

Mine are like 10 years old but I don't where them to much. My wife even left them out for the dogs to chew up but they didn't. She was sad.
