Oregon and Washington Truck Spotting

Got any interest in this piece I’m trying to unload?







Smoked tint, radiused corners, beveled edges. Plastic film is still on both sides. I bought it for a camper window and the place cut it 10 inches too short. I have literally nothing to do with it.

 

Sorry, I only use the real thin stuff, coated .060 for boat windows. I saw you had that and tried to make up an excuse/project, but I got nothin

I've been toying with the idea of playing a version of capture the flag. I'd create a new thread for this, but basically...

I'd start by mounting this flag on the bed of my truck.




It would be mounted in a way that it can be easily removed by hand. If someone were to spot my truck, parked with the flag, they would "capture" the flag and put it on their own truck, until it was captured by someone else.

Of course there would be rules, like you have to make it easily removable and allow people to take it, if they spot it. Also, if you previously had it, you can't be the first to take it back.

I think it would be fun to see where this flag ends up, and possibly track its progress across the country.

If this is a stupid idea, feel free to shit all over it. I won't take it personally.

If you don't run a tonneau, I'm thinking a clamp that grabs onto to side rails... if you have a tonneau, maybe fold it up until someone captures it.

 

Till someone sees you stealing something off a truck and next thing you know mf'er getting choked out in the parking lot at Fred Meyer haha

 

Sew a strong flat magnet into the flag????

 

I'm sure I've seen your truck a hundred times. The new tires should help making spotting easier. I usually look for big tires and stand out modifications. Mine stands out like a neon sign and I've only been spotted a couple times

Yeah, I try to keep my mods subtle. Even though my truck is heavily modified, most wouldn't know how extensive the mods are.

Gonna look real weird when people are running up to trucks at stoplights to debo flags.

 

If it could become a site wide thing, every member that grabbed the flag wrote their screen name on it. Once a year all gathered up and track progress, would be pretty neat

 

Magnet in the flag might work. Give some peeps the option to use it and those that are worried about the paint can not.
