That looks like all thread and a small piece of steel :anonymous:

I’m going to put my loft on sometime this summer and was planning on replacing the bearing (bushing). Hopefully I don’t need a special tool? I have access to all kinds of bearing pullers.

Lol... it pretty much is just all thread, a plate, and the broken piece (missing in picture) that is shaped to fit inside, behind the needle bearing.

Sí. I loaned it out and the guy didn’t align it properly and broke the end that goes in the diff. It was replaced and I’m good to go. Bushing, tool, and seal. I just need to get some gear oil, drop the skids, and get on it.

Nope. I’ve wracked a couple of trucks, but this is my virgin pulling the cv axles on the Taco. I’ve done plenty of others, it shouldn’t be too bad.

    More T4R questions.

I know @MattJakobs T4R is auto... I think @theesotericone has auto as well. What year is your Runner? And, when you click your Over Drive button on the shifter does your OD stay off till you hit the button again? Or does the OD come back on if you turn off the truck and then restart it?

Mine resets when I turn off my truck. Which is f'n annoying because with 33s and 4.10s I really should be driving most of the time with OD off... but every time I start my truck, the OD goes back on.

Robert's 96 T4R OD stays off until you turn it back on with the button.

That's basically telling me that my button is a momentary switch, his is an off/on switch. I'm wondering if this is true for all 3rd Gen T4Rs. If so, I'm going to try and snag one (plus a black swifter would look cool, and only the T4Rs had that)

Got the parts sitting at home, just don't have the install tool or a place to work on it.

The button controls the OD. It does not reset when the truck starts. Simple on/off switch.
