Does he still only make them in red? I messaged him a few months back and he said he wasn’t doing custom but only had red. If he’ll do black I’m in!

Where are you located? I think I have an unused one that you can just have for free if you’re in SoCal. PM me if that’s viable.

Thanks! I really liked this one too and haven’t seen many others with it. Wanted to keep most of the stock bumper also. So this was perfect.

Nice Upgrade. Those rotors are huge and tight in the wheel. Cooling might be an issue once saturated but I suspect it would only matter if you do a tremendous amount high speed braking or carrying or towing down big grades. Look forward to the install.

Are you swapping to 4WDisc or leaving drums in the back? I swapped to 4WDisc brakes and its worlds apart compared to Disc/Drum. You should be able to swap out the back with the disc brakes off a Toyota 4Runner.

Not really to me 10 mins of looking and lubing per oil change and a huge 15 minutes to swap out if needed. Maybe an extra 30 min a year. I guess that’s high compared to stock but really not that much effort for the gains. My thinking anyway.

Bought an OEM bed mat and remote tailgate lock. The problem installed and couldn’t be happier. I don’t have to remove my key from the FOB any more to lock and unlock the tailgate. :amen:

I will be curious of your experience after two years. Alignment may be an issue. Tie rod ends are already trouble enough. But I live in salted road and harsh winter country.

I've never locked a pickup tail gate, nor felt the need to.. Lucky me... I guess.

I agree with you in theory. However, just always remember, the battery may fail in your truck or keyfob, and if the tailgate is locked, you'll need that key to get inside.

I cautiously always keep my tailgate key with me.

@VTCAL I once felt the same way. However, I moved back to my hometown to be closer to family. Of course family lives near Memphis, TN (see FBI crime stats). And theft is a crime of opportunity (and quickness). Since moving back closer to family, I've put a cover on and put the tailgate lock on mine. I don't keep much in my bed for anyone to steal. But thieves are usually looking for a quick item to grab. No need to give them an easy opportunity.

I live in SoCal, I don't want to see my tailgate for sale on FB Marketplace. LOL

I can't remember model year, but mine has 2 separate keys. One for the door. Second for the tailgate. I think 2018 (maybe?), they trimmed it down to 1 key.

I have a spare key for the doors but then the tailgate is unlocked with the fob key. I haven't even tried to lock my glove box lol. So I have no clue which key is used.:notsure:

Put on the Falcon 2” Tow/Haul lift, loving everything about it so far. Also added some raptor lights to the TRD OR grille using the 3BMakers bezel adapters

On my 2021, the extra key they give you matches the keying of the key in the fobs. So both types will lock/unlock everything.
