Definitely get yourself checked for concussion or other closed head brain injury. I have a friend who was rear ended and suffered no overt injuries, but had a brain trauma that has taken years to fully heal. Another friend had a brain injury from a bike crash and didn't realize it for a long time. It totally messed with his personality and his ability to get stuff done (normally a total go-getter, slowed way down after his accident.) He is finally getting help with is injury and is finally starting to feel like himself again.

Sounds like you are fine, but if you are feeling at all unusual, or not normal, be sure to get the help you need to heal your brain. The brain is amazing, and can totally recover, but some times there are physical therapy exercises that are needed to get the brain back to full function.

Good luck on your search...I almost bought a LC this past Saturday. I was at the dealer with my wife , getting service (on my mother in laws car) and they actually had 2 LCs in the showroom. I was surprised as this was a small town dealer and it’s unusual to see them. We had one back in the early 90s and loved it. My wife is not certain she wants a big vehicle again as we will be empty nesters next year. I really hate this is the last year for the LC. She’s thinking she might want to go back to a car....I hope not as I’m not a fan of her past cars (all 7 series BMWs)....I’ve got bad knees and cars are tough for me.

or pull a house sized trailer full of solar panels and still only use your 5k pound truck every few days.

I have no formal education on EVs and I've only known ICE vehicles my whole life, but here's my negative opinion regardless of how out of date my information is.

Your post sums up my take on just about all of these threads now. After buying a Tesla and having first-hand experience with owning a full EV I can confidently say that if there was an EV option to replace my 2500HD for towing, I'd be all about it.

My only concern is our infrastructure and how much it has been neglected. It is going to take a lot of money and work to get our power grid up to snuff for all of the EV's being announced by all of the major auto manufacturers. Lobbyists for oil did a good job securing their interests over the past decades. On the plus side, there are huge future opportunities for those willing to be re-trained, or willing to step into that workforce.

All the places I tow to(trailheads) are in the middle of nowhere. Usually heavily wooded BLM or USFS land. They may be willing to clearcut the area for solar panels, doubt they would be willing to install a genset charger and maintain it, as they wont even do that for bathrooms.

Now if I was towing from campground to campground thats when a E- tow rig makes sense for my usage. But at that point I might as well just airbnb it and leave my rig at home.

Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't California have trouble just keeping the lights on in the summer. So how are current EVs viable for 95% of the population? And is that of your state, the nation, the world? As another member here said our infrastructure at its current and projected state can not handle an all electric vehicle fleet the size of our nation.
I do believe electric or hydrogen is the future but without huge advancement we will not see the ICE go away. And even with that advancement we may never see it go away totally. We have are minds stuck on passenger vehicles but what about mining ( that will have to be done for battery raw materials). We are talking about how to take an EV truck off road. But what about the agricultural industry? Their vehicles live in the dirt and are huge. Once again someone correct me if I am wrong but aren't EVs usually heavier than ICEs? That will play a factor in offroading for us and the ability to plow fields, harvest crops, dig out raw materials, etc.
Last thing, I think super capacitors might be the solution to current batteries, but luckily we don't have to fall back on my expertise to engineer these vehicles. Because most days I can't even spell engineer with out the help of autocorrect. :anonymous:

I find this an incredibly ironic argument of the push for EV - that we want to save the world and the rain forests from our concrete jungles, but to actually go out and experience what we're fighting so hard to save and protect is an afterthought. The glamor of being green and eco-friendly will wear off as soon as it becomes an inconvenience, then it's just going to introduce more construction and habitat destruction so that we can get to areas we used to be able to reach with engines and a couple spare gas tanks.

    Maybe I'm just being dramatic.

I own a E-mtn bike, and E-dirtbike. Both are a blast, but I have to carry a generator with me whenever I go for a full day.

My brother called me last week to pick him and his buddies up cause they ran out of juice on a long, steep trail and they didnt want to pedal them home. Which is a big deal as my brother is a fitness freak and loves muscle pain.

Well this example proves that EV's are still in their infancy. It will take time for the technology to catch up with modern needs. Lot's of issues need to be figured out stil but make no doubt we will get there. Can't make an omelette without breaking some eggs. In the future people will be shocked that we actually burned carbon fuels to get around.

SSO hybrid bumper, Warn winch, RCI skid trilogy, RRW sliders, everything in the cheap/free mods thread, and of course the frame recall work.
I want to see one of the giant R/C cars do a water crossing to the midline of the doors, handle a week-long back country trail run, have the owner able to fix nearly any issue on the trail by carrying a reasonable tool and spare parts selection (CVs :), and be able to carry an adequate spare "charge" to ensure they don't get stranded in the woods. Just because a lot of you have pavement princesses does not detract from the legions who use our trucks & Jeeps as actual offroad machines pushed to the limit.

Why would they be shocked that people used what was technically available and inexpensive to use for that time? I am not even remotely shocked that people used whale oil to keep warm or rode horses to travel as that was what was available to them.

RIVIAN advertises 40" water depth. They could handle more but will start floating.

Simply because of the damage it does to the environment and human body. I'm shocked we are still using it but it is the most readily available and cheapest.

Still skeptical that EV is going to be a viable option until we figure out a more robust power storage solution for the entire nation. In the mean time, EVs can be very badass and fun to listen to.
