Yup, that's correct. I'm putting in 6 or so rivet bolts around the gate tomorrow in attempt to keep it down. I'm also considering more vent holes on the bottom of the gate to relieve trapped heat. Maybe over kill but worth a shot lol

I have been bouncing back and forth between the HDPE option or the mobtown steel option. This is making me lean towards the more expensive steel version. Waiting to see how yours shakes out.

 

Mobtown was around $120 for me shipped when they have their sales. Can't bet that price in my opinion.

 

I have been waiting on these great deals I hear about for a couple months from from @Mobtown Offroad but with the COVID business spike they are experiencing there has been nothing. Checked the site this morning and it is showing it out of stock.

 

Hmm, guess no earth day sale going on today huh. I would image the next big holiday or maybe in May when taxes are due and refunds are around the corner. I think everyone ends up having a tax day sale.

ABS seems slightly better.

 

I read on here that the COVID order spike has caused most companies to go on extended backorder (im in my 10-12 week wait for BAMF sliders), and are not offering any type of discount until they can get caught up (although bamf has an ongoing promo code for TW members). Makes perfect sense for those who have orders in. All kinda irrelevant anyways since they are out of stock at this point.

 

Put some turf over it and you're all done!

I wonder if the lighter colors will have this problem. Next time we have a hot southern California day I'll drop the tailgate and let it start baking to see what happens. Or maybe I shouldn't even risk it

 

It's been cool lately and it's still a tad warped. If it would bother you I wouldn't risk it.

 

I better not then. Only time I have the tailgate down for an extended period of time is when we're camping or hanging out in the driveway and the dog wants to sit on it. Or sometimes I use it for a seat. But I'll keep that in mind I would hate to see it warp. I use it daily in the mornings to set my coffee on and eat breakfast before I walk into work. It's been great

Rivets in and flat AF. I'm still considering sinking the holes.
