When are you thinking of doing this? I've kinda been in the same boat and finally got some decent vacation time later this year. Really want to do some wheeling.

I haven't done much planning, date wise. I started putting a trip plan together back when the Moab trip fell apart a couple of years ago, but work kind of torpedoed that plan as well. Looking at my calendar for the rest of the year, June is pretty much wide open and I have a small gap in mid October, but, as usual, it is all subject to change.

My initial plan was about 10 days total, but that also included attending Overland Expo East.

Someone tell me how to fit 4 grown humans and 3 dogs into a Taco for 7 hours. We booked some time in the keys but now I can't figure out how to get us all there without taking 2 cars or renting something. This is probably the only time I will really miss my super crew.

Been too long since I've gone shooting. I need to find some free time to get over to the range.

Yeah, last time I bought a half dozen boxes of range 9mm I was floored at the price. I can't even find the good stuff around me unless I want to drive all the way down to Sarasota.

What are you plans for the AR? I noticed lowers are crazy expensive but everything is.

I’ve been sitting on an Aero lower for like a year lol I thinking I’m gonna build a 12.5”(possibly mid length gas system) to be a suppressor host eventually. Aero upper and hand guard probably, triarc is the only 12.5” with mid length I’ve seen but I may do a carbine length with the way things are going. Just want an sbr to run a suppressor on basically lol

I'm still trying to figure out how to get my .458 SOCOM done. With a Bowers .458 suppressor, even if I run a 10.5" barrel I'm still going to end up with a rifle length barrel (the damn things are 11" long) which is not what I wanted for something that needs to be agile in hallways and such. Given the prospect of having to get at least one NFA tax stamp and registration and still not having what I want, I may just go with a 16" barrel (threaded for a brake if I find it necessary) and fuck what little hearing I have left. o_O

I may check out some .50 cal pistol suppressors and see if they will will hold up. Bowers said they wouldn't recommend their .45 pistol suppressor on any barrel under 16".

I don’t even wanna think about how a 458 feels in a hallway let alone how loud it is lol
