I’m in Southern CA for training at the moment. Had to check out the local San Bernardino FSR’s. This state is chock full of ridiculousness, but their wilderness sure is tough to beat. 044E7674-E968-403B-916F-D6BFFE3758EE.jpg

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Hells yeah! Love the pics and that your getting use out of that tent.

Speaking of the tent. Heck yes, last night was a trial run for out here. Should have seen it on the way up. It tried to walk off my truck about midway to the camp site. Apparently too bumpy for the lack of locktite. One bracket was in the bed and the other 3 so loose they were hanging onto the tent frame half slid town the angled part of the bed bars. Should have took pictures.

Posted up between two game trails. The night was interesting. Let’s just say I was happy to be off the ground.

Made it up to Chattahoochee this weekend. Got rained on Saturday, but we hung out in the awning room and drank bourbon, so no loss.

As a side note for anyone camping in Jasus Creek Campground. You cannot drive down by the creek anymore even though there is a unblocked road leading down to it...

We came in at night and did not see the 4" x 4" signs that are 15ft up in the tree :frusty:. DNR gave us a warning on Sunday as we were already packing up.

Great day out yesterday, lots of gates were open. Cleared some downed trees. Unfortunately I think Hawk Mtn is permanently shut to OHV traffic.

I also got out this weekend. Drove up FSR 28-1. I’ve only got 2WD but the Tacoma handled it great! Forgot to take pictures but will take pictures on my next trail ride. Looking forward to following more of y’all’s adventures.

Since we aren't going to be able to do the Traverse trip this weekend, I'm looking for a trail somewhere in the mountains where my son and I can go up in the morning and maybe come back in the evening. Cool waterfalls or a creek to explore wouldn't be awful either.

We're both itching to get this thing off road, but I'll be solo and don't want unnecessary risk.

not sure how to just link the pin, so i did directions from Atlanta. There's a campsite along horsepasture river that looks pretty cool.

That's not a driving trail though, is it?

Yes, you can drive all the way down to the horsepasture river.

There's also a really cool trail to Windy Falls that you can hike to the top of the falls.

You can enter through Rainbow Falls: https://goo.gl/maps/bj8GPxrL9pLChChz6

    upload_2021-4-22_12-31-20.jpg

Or, you can take the long way and risk some closed gates and enter from the Musterground Road side of the trail in South Carolina: https://goo.gl/maps/u4TqP16gujnyY6h48

    upload_2021-4-22_12-34-12.jpg

I think it took me and @synaps3 , @Sprocket1505 and R0bn8r (username?) about 4 hours to run it from the Musterground side. We connected to Chestnut mountain via Auger Rd., but I believe that gate is mostly closed year round. We went that way because it was likely a once in a lifetime opportunity to go through the gate legally. I'd go in from the Chestnut Mountain (Rainbow Falls) side in NC just to be sure you can access the campsite.

A few of my buddies are more than likely camping on Lake Blueridge April 30th - May 2nd if anybody wants to join in. It'll be a bunch of 27 year olds so more than likely not too kid friendly. 2wd friendly as well, only camping and kayaking

Ok, cool, from the map it looked more like a walking trail.

Gonna try. I'm getting there early Friday to hopefully snag it, if not I've got another spot but it can only hold like 3-4 rigs comfortably

I'm not sure about pup friendly because one of my buddies has 2 pitbulls and one tore up his pad really bad last time when another dog was out because they were running around too much. Could've been just glass from some idiot leaving bottles around but I can ask him
