I’m getting more ready to get away from the city every day.

I backed the truck into the moving trailer, the mover wasn't comfortable doing it and I was. We got the moving truck all to ourself, new company is paying for the move.

My first thought is that people who haven't been on the road in ~13 months since COVID started are getting back to work. They were bad drivers before...now, they are bad "rusty" drivers. Maybe it's time to look a little further out in the "burbs" before going full mountain retreat?

Thanks... I might be the neighbor on the other side of the mountains from you, but will be going back and forth all the time I’m sure. You’ll have a spot to land on the west and Ill come party on the east. Been jamming Sturgills cutting grass album lately and it’s making me itch to get up there and hear some strings getting picked live.
Looking at east tenn .... like @CowboyTaco suggest I got to sort of stay close to some burbs for the family for a few years. Thinking of an hour or so outside of Knoxville toward the smokies right now. Then look and wait for a chunk of land to eventually get to like you and start by taking camping trips/hunt and fish out there before we build to retire... whatever that will mean by then.
