That metal actually looks pretty good, I think a hole by July is a long shot.

why do you only have until July? I thought the frame warranty period was 15 years

Yup, something to consider. Maybe ask them if they see anything right off that would need to be repaired at the same time (and how much that would cost).

As others have said though, it honestly doesnt seem that bad if thats your worst spot. Maybe borrow a borescope and check the inside of the boxed sections in the front?

I had the 2003 frame replaced years back, thought it was fixed. Apparently not, They inspected the frame today.. “no holes” but I get a free undercoating. Wouldn’t it be easier to undercoat in the factory. Save time and issues. Toyota seems to be taking the high road. Thanks Toyota.. I think?

To me that one seems sketchy if they're influencing you to punch your own hole through your frame.

Hmm yeah. They’re the biggest Toyota dealership in the area by a huge margin and they have a really good reputation. Super nice people but yeah I see what you mean.

why not drive it into a lake, report it missing and get a check for 20K?

good luck OP I hope you get a new frame.

Might be profit-driven: Toyota pays some 40 hrs for a frame swap, they cut corners and get it done in 20 hrs. On top of that, they sell $3000 worth of parts to @jimbeam999 that are too rusted to survive the transfer.

I had my frame swapped. They didn't try to oversell me even though I would have gotten some things done. Id still try a different dealership. There are 3 large ones near me..

We're at a turning point where most of the fuckery has moved from the 3rd gen section to the 2nd gen section

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
Dealer gets to bill Corporate for $12,000 in my experience. Try another dealer with a less busy service department?
