A separate tire warranty was given to you with the other sales documents. They're all different. Crack it open and read it.

Looking just confirms a puncture, but won't eliminate the possibility.

I agree with those that say to just take it to a tire shop.

All this over a 10 minute $20 tire shop fix. Good lord. We’re doomed as a people.

your shop can plug/patch a tire in 10 minutes?! Damn! Around here, is at least an hour for even a simple job like this. Than again, tire shops around here are always busy and by appointment basis

    This lol

In OP's defense...nothing wrong with saving $20, and personally I'd rather have a new tire than a patched tire if the option is there. And i'd still have the dealership patch it even if they wouldn't replace it, since it's a brand new truck.

It you're stacking dealership pleebs against tire shop monkeys, I'd go with the specialist shop.

A lot of dealers don't mess with tires often.

Depends in the shop. A good chain like DT, yeah, you're waiting a while.

The run-down mom-n-pop sketch shop with the rusted out impala out front? They can get you out in a couple of minutes. Sure, the owner and sole employee has a look to him like he wants to murder you, but really he's a nice dude and does decent work.

LOL fair point. But I've had tire shop monkeys ruin simple patches as well, necessitating repeated patches or tire replacement sooner than necessary.

A plug costs around $3 to DIY. The time spent at a dealership will outweigh the patch, I would consider that the cost of opportunity.

I haven't had that issue, but I just fix my own these days after getting really used to plugs in new motorcycle tires.

Maybe you’ll get lucky and the dealer tech will be Heather Storm. That might make it worthwhile to take it back and have her estimate the repair and perform it.

    Where’s the leak?

if the rim leaks and hasn’t been damaged they may.

soap test it. You will find the nail

if it is bead, deflate and fix

lol as far as I know, only moderators can? I've made a few threads myself I wish I could delete lol. But don't sweat it. It's all in good fun, and if it ain't, it's just pixels on the screen. Forums exist for questions and sharing info. You're good

Get a spray bottle and fill with 50/50 mix of dish soap and water

Spray on valve stem and valve core

Both sides of the tire bead / wheel lip

    Check tread for foreign objects

If anywhere you spray and you see bubbles , that's your leak
