I was wondering if anyone could help with this matter I would gratefully appreciate any help I could get.

I bought 17x7 TRD wheels for my 2015 SR5 and brought it to NTB to have them installed because I had to get tires to fit the wheels, as I was going from 16” to 17”. They told me that I would either have to get extended wheel studs or spacers to make that happen.

I was under the impression that they would go on no problem. Guess I was wrong. Does anyone know what I need for extended wheel studs or spacers?

Did you go from steel wheels to alloy? Then you will need new lugs.

What tires did you get? That may be causing rubbing issues, thus the need for spacers.

I did have steel wheels I got Falken Wildpeak AT3W 265/65/17. I was told I’d need wheel studs not lugs though. Would you happen to know the specs of what I would need?

The tires should not be an issue. Go to the “Wheel and tire” forum. Lots of people are running Wildpeaks at that size.

Steel Tacoma wheels use different lugs than alloy Tacoma wheels. I don’t know why they are talking about studs. :notsure:

EDIT: Depending on what wheels you have. You need something like below.

My first best guess (these will fit the 4Runner wheels on my truck)

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000CIXMCI

My second best guess (Pro Rims)

Here is the part # for the OEM matt black lug nuts to match the Pro Rims. They cost $60 for all 24; PT076-60200-02

These are the lug nuts and wheels I bought and the dudes at the tire shop said they couldn’t even get half a turn on the stud with these.
