I think the time period in question (when the skimmer software was on their site) was like mid Jan to mid-march

Here is a bit more of the email...
"Our investigation indicates that the intruders may have had this “skimming” capability from January 7, 2021 through March 22, 2021 and on April 11, 2021. The attackers may have gained access to customer transaction information if the customer entered new or updated information at the site during that time."

I got hacked last year too.
Thought it was Midway... just a guess.
Punks ran through a pile of charitable donations till my bank caught it and killed the card.

    F*ckn hackers.
I get 1 to 5 calls a day from Indian/Pakistani phone scammers... had 15 one day!

That sounds like poor security practices to me. Probably gained access to the servers or had a packet sniffer going the entire time. If the compromise happened because of a man in the middle attack and was packet sniffing I won’t be ordering from them anymore. This is why DevSecOps is a multi-billion dollar industry

It was always a fun time when you’re looking at server processes on the box and see something that didn’t look right. Deeper investigation shows a compromise and then you’re stuck on a call for the next week sorting it out with SecOps

The thing that sucks is many of the other sites use similar, if not the same, software. Maybe (hopefully) different providers.

Uniform military service. They can only be bought by the brave men and women that serve this country. I just happen to be real good friends with a bunch of them.

I wouldn't call it poor security issues or blame BladeHQ. They just aren't as fast as the hackers with their sneaky shit. IRS, banks, Amazon, and pretty much anyone (everyone) has been subject to hackers getting information and using it.

Oh and add flytanium to that list with blade HQ I just got an email from them.

Only secure way to do business without threat of being hacked is keep all your money in mason jars and all transactions in cash

Platform maybe be similar but unless that platform has a bug it's likely poor IT practices

Maybe, maybe not. Could have found a weak admin password, a zero day defect. All sorts of things unrelated to poor practice.

Or you know they aren't completely immune from something going awry........

In today's age of everything paperless, internet based, and digital you are never completely safe no matter what you do. Pointing blame at something you have little context of what actually happened doesn't do much. Like I said everyone has been hit because of this age your privacy.com sure didn't protect the IRS and banks.......
