    as a follow up.
I made my retainers after a week of figuring out how and where etc.

    It will work I think.
Just need to see how bad it interferes with my casting..

Looks stylish and effective to me!

BTW - testing today found no leaks, and didn't actually lose the Freon. Lost the compressor! Oh well, could have been middle of summer....

    Mmmmmmmmmm

    Smells funny.
    No cool air.
    Clutch doesn’t engage.

    not a continuous,swashplate, compressor.

the only thing I can think of is the compressor seized and the clutch is what you smelled.
I was going to suggest you do a few things but could have been hard to explain.
Like anything else, hard to diag over long distance.

Bummer. Go with a Toyota OEM Compressor. They offer rebuilt at about 1/3 the price, but I think those are designed to die 1 month after their warranty expires.

$313 for OEM? I was thinking $700, but check the application buy stay away from those Autobone specials!

    Stock Code 8832004060
    Price: $311.53

You were very helpful! Guy suggested what I heard was indeed compressor seizing up - said Freon and it's oil don't really smell, and it was short lasting and bad. All the Freon was there, he vacuumed it out so I can proceed. No leaks found anywhere, but it doesn't move the Freon through the system, so..... He advised to expect the expansion valve should be replaced at same time.
I'm going to go see the little shop he recommended after the Dr. tomorrow. It would have puked when I recharged (it did need it) this summer, so, all good in the long run.

Guy I am seeing "uses OEM when it matters" according to reviews, has an 08 Tundra under his care with a happy customer, actually 50 good and no bad CarFax reviews. ASE shop in a small town, been there 20 years. Worth my visit for sure tomorrow.

Edit: OEM reman would be fine, and THANKS.

    Evening all:
    Sue!!

Rod holders look good Mike, thought about making some up for the boat also, but need to do some thinking about how to keep them out of the way. Heck, I have a push pole for the jet that I haven't figured out where to put it so it's out of the way when I want to open up a storage compartment!

    Tha
That’s my problem. I run 7 foot rods. I cast left. If I cast off the right side of the boat I’m sure it won’t be an issue. I have to remind myself to set up for that. But like anything else I end up spinning around and casting off the left side. That will be the test. Then, when I walk the dog, I set the hook over my right shoulder.
I use a lot of rods cause I HATE CHANGING LURES WHILE FISHING.
I’m hoping to do a shakedown run tomorrow.

I don’t know your setup but on my boat, since I have all casting deck, I would think of mounting
it on the storage compartment itself. Then when you lift the door it swings out of the way. I don’t know
    those suckers are long.

NO harm no Foul. Just busting on you. Welcome, post up a pic of your Tacoma in the thread. The Mods don't like us when we visit other threads. ;)

Same here Mike. I actually prefer the OEM wiper blades over any quality aftermarket blades. Never have chatter with the OEM.

:spam: LOL Good morning Susan. Hope your weekends includes family time. How is your Tacoma doing?

Off to Costco this afternoon, hearing aid appointment. I will let you know how it goes. I found a comparison PDF for the Kirkland Signature 10.0 hearing aid and the Phonak Audeo Paradise level 90. They look to be the same but at 1/3 the cost Costco it might be. The Phonak made it to my top two choices for a hearing aid.

Anyone have any recommendations for a a 240V NEMA 14-50 socket that uses Allen bolts to tighten the wires? I am installing an outlet in my sister's beach home next month and the specifications call for 6 gauge wire. In my past experience screw driver type lug terminals for wire connection just do not work all that well.

edit update: can't see him until Monday, and he won't do reman. It says right on the little website: "We use high-quality parts and offer 3 years or 36k miles warranty on parts and labor."

    Good morning all,

woke to a skiff of new snow and 29 degrees - getting better... Supposed to get in the low 50's tomorrow.

Off to start digging up the Distribution Box so we can start digging out the pipes to re-install a new DB (concrete with riser) and new piping for a better distribution of the fluids. Hopefully this will only take two days to complete...

The two appointments went well plus I had time in between them to get the truck washed off. Eye site hasn't changed in a year - good news and the hearing aids needed a software update. All is good on my end now if we can Alice settled down with her issues - MRI getting scheduled for her - not looking forward to that. She does not do well with confined space.

Have a great day everyone and be safe, the population here is relaxing protocols - not the establishments or doctors offices but the general public...
