    Well.. update this again.

Truck was in another fender bender last week. A lady pulled out in front of me from her turn lane.

Blew out the spindle and gusset. Wheel and tire are toast but I've been waiting to mount the 35s and get new wheels.. so here we go.

    PXL_20210413_231938754.MP.jpg

Pulled the wheel/tire just now to try and get the spare on so it's a roller.. but no dice. Tire hits the upper regardless. It rubbed all the powdercoat off too.. kinda bummed about that. They're less than a year old. Oh well. Working on getting it all taken care of this week.

Yeah.. Insurance is covering it all. just a PITA with all the aftermarket parts. This is also like 2 weeks after getting it back from a week at the shop having the motor mounts and my cracked upper oil pan replaced. still paying off that bill...

Well thats good. The after markets are a pain. Brightside tho is you really are being forced to keep the miles off it. Atleast you got lucky the chick had insurance. Its always a gamble if they have it or not.

True true. It rarely gets driven anymore anyways. We wanted to start getting out again and then all his started happening. Oh well.

We're hoping for some big changes here soon too.

We just got out for our anniversary kinda reminded us how much we enjoy it. Just finished Whits truck. It rides so good now. Just need some bumpstops. So more trips planned. I want to get down and campo on apache this summer but want to buy a new toy to have fun with.

    Big changes soon you say?

Nice! It feels good when all the maintenance is done and you can enjoy. I'm still doing mine.. and seems like when I think I'm done.. something else breaks or I get into an accident. I've been "fixing" it for the last year+.

We should definitely do another Apache trip! That would be so fun.

And hopefully yes. I've got the 35s already.. just need wheels. Then get to cutting and order a rear bumper. Then some house work in preps for storing the truck securely in the backyard. Putting in an electric RV gate and a cover structure. All for if/when we get into a wedge camper. Specifically the Super Pacific X1. We like it out of all the other options.. even over the AT that's Local. Trying to get it all finished up so we can go out and just enjoy it instead of always tinkering and wanting to improve on it. We have a plan and end goal as far as layout and uses. Just trying to make it happen sooner than later.

Yes its great to have it all done for her. No the 4runner needs attention! bad...

I am down as soon as it heats up some more! ( Still trying to find a stand up jet ski)

I saw the drawings and what you are trying to do. I was going to look into it more but forgot. Its right up the alley of what I do now so if you need parts and such let me know.

As for wedge campers.....Whit is 100% in and wanting one as well. I haven't shown her all the different brands but wants to support Mike so we are going GFC. Which I don't mind.

As much as I'd like to support Mike.. I love him.. Im just not a fan of little things that GFC does vs others. Regardless.. the wedge style is definitely where it's at.

Yep I get that. I need to do more research into them. But tbh its a pipe dream at the moment. 10k on more of a luxury is just not realistic at the moment. Maybe as we get closer to retirement and will be doing more trips and longer again. But for now the cvt is here to stay.

I hear that man.. trust me. lol We're trying to look at it as it will force us to get out more. We've been complaining how we dont get out as much and want to do our trips again and more frequently, and this will hopefully dot he trick. checks a ton of boxes we've been wanting for a setup to make trips easier and more enjoyable.

We're trying! I'm trying to score a spot that one of the guys is selling to save us a little wait time. Otherwise.. we will put in our deposit maybe the end of the month.

So exciting! How long is the lead time for them? (I am looking at their website now checking it out) I have seen that brand before.

I think current orders are expected to be finished around November.

It's just the little details and changes over say the GFC I really appreciate. the quality is awesome.

Yeah they look awesome. 150lb worth of gear can be mounted on it too. I know GFC does that too but I dont think its 150lb's.
