1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

My older brother shot me 3 times on different accessions 2 times with a BB gun 1 time with a Rock salt gun. Oh and he stabbed me in the leg with a bamboo tree stick. All good times. In his defense I was an antagonizer as a kid.

 

Wow I'm starting to feel a lot better about myself haha

I think the worst I did to my brother....fired a slapshot at him on the hockey rink when we were just skating around during stick time, no gear/helmets etc. Tagged him right in the leg and he couldn't walk for a week, he was like 10 or 11 years old. I got banned from stick time at that rink after that.

Not including all the fighting we did as kids but that probably led to the worst injury.

 

a close friend just got his 2nd one and he said it was fucking miserable. Fever, severe aches and headache

 

I am so not looking forward to this 2nd dose. Feels like the world's shittiest lottery

 

I spent one whole summer grounded for pointing an airsoft gun at my sister

 

yeah, wasn't fun. But went away after 24hrs, so all ion all not the worst way I've spent a day. Better than 2+ weeks of that

 

I get mine 8am tomorrow.

What's the over/under on it ruining my weekend?

1st one had zero effect on me minus sore arm. But not as sore as when I got the TDAP vaccine at the pharmacy in 2019, couldn't hardly use that arm for a couple days after that one.

 

Sore arm the next day for what..3-4 hrs?

That's it.

 

Probably gonna kill a day if you have a good immune system, people with weaker systems aren't put out by it because it just doesn't get a strong response.

 

A nurse yesterday told me most of the blood clotting issues were found in women.

 

why? Estrogen

And apparently isn't as effective as the other two, 2-shot vaccines.

Do you get along now? Once we didn't live together we get along so much better.

 

Yeah my wife specifically sought out a place for us that didn't do that one for that reason. Although I kind of prefer the idea of '1 and done' but not so much the idea of blood clotting.

Anyway they had put the J&J one on hold by the time we got ours so it wouldn't have been an option anyway
