Well I plan to finish up and publish dyno results for 7psi, 10psi, 14psi pump gas tomorrow. We will see what happens. (the purpose is to stress test FPC)

I still drive mostly in 4Hi. Love how it drives. Probably 2000+ pavement and highway miles in 4Hi.
4Hi really only sucks in 2 situations, U Turns and Parking lots.

Should have broke by now if it was gonna.....

The only thing that is an issue on the test mule right now is it may have a bad wheel bearing. But that was there before the 4Hi tests. Actually hard to tell if it's that or just a bad tire. The tires are 5yrs old.

I have not been nice to this truck at all, on purpose. I haven't even changed the oil filter in 12,000 miles. On purpose.
Floor it on cold engine.. on cold transmission...
have revved it to 7500... (in boost)

Toyota really built these engines tough. There seems to be only 1 thing that will kill it. Severe detonation.

    Bad oil, no problem.
Low oil? no problem. I know this from experience running the engine with no oil at all (not on purpose lol).

I've been trying to get it to blow up so I can install the forged rods/pistons/cams I have.

    That is just awesome.

I remember that Castrol or M1 commercials where they ran the engines with no oil. I believe it was the old Slant6s though?

In the end, that is very impressive.

Thanks for doing it. FI or N/A.

From what I have been told, the AT skips gears less and behaves normally. See the main vF thread or the vftuner.com forum.

Okay, numbers straight off the dyno.
93 octane, new calibration standard 7psi.
This tune has been modified for increased drivability, smoothness on / off boost, shift changes, torque converter and such.
    It runs really well.

Note, these runs are at the hub, no TCF, direct axle reading. Close to what you would see on a dyno jet.
Testing was performed with no dyno fans, hot run and cold run.

RED = hot run (intercooler temps >130 *)
GREEN = Cold run (intercooler temps <100*)

Numbers are quite consistent between several runs, around 350 ft lbs and 315-325whp. This is the power you can expect (at the wheel) on 7psi.

This is real world style pull, not loaded down waiting for peak load. Just 2000 RPM and straight into it. dyno runs are sweeped at a 200 RPM rate / 20 seconds roughly.

More torque is possible @ lower RPM if I fully load it and wait for peak boost at 1500 rpm before ramping, but it's not entirely realistic. This dyno graph represents realistic / real world see and feel. (on an AT)

    10psi and 14psi results pending

@OVTune, how differently do you expect the base turbos to perform?

From my understanding the previous/original numbers on 7psi were done on the base turbos and all of your recent (the last ~5 months) has been done with the powermax turbos. Will we base guys see lower #s, and if so.. how much lower?

Are the N/A curves 2.0? Base or Perf?

Just asking because I don't think we have seen any 2.0 dynos other than Dump Tubes?

    Thanks!

I'd like to know as well, because those are nearly spot on with the numbers that been obtained/posted/advertised for the base turbos...

And seeing as I'm on base turbos...

Power between base / powermax should be close to what is previously been posted.

This test was also with catted DP, previous results were decatted.

But these results are stress test results. No dyno fans, no fresh air tube, no duct on the intercooler to keep temps cool.

For example the "hot" test was when the intercooler temp was 130+ at the start of the run, and 160+ by end of the run. Purposeful crap conditions.

That's still pretty great then, getting the numbers presented with less than ideal conditions.

Side note, I love driving this truck so much more now that I'm not having to be paranoid about overboosting the whole time. Lol continues to really scoot along at 6-7psi, sometimes I don't realize I'm actually accelerating with how smoothly the boost can come on in 5th and 6th

Yesterday evening I checked my oil. 3k miles with the turbos onboard and I'm not burning oil, nor is it gunking up super quickly. Color wasn't the gorgeous golden of new oil, but it wasn't really that far off from it either.
