    well, reservations made for some of my trip. lots of camps are still first come first served before memorial day so i'll just have to cross my fingers and hope for the best. i was able to book for the weekends (busiest) and I'll only have to do the FCFS mid-week so that should better my chances of finding something. and no reservations for Memorial day weekend BUT most of the camps open for the season that Friday and I'll be in the area so plan is to be waiting as they're unlocking the gates at 1 of 3 camps.

    they will use volunteers to sweep up the water. mantience and electricans will get the machines,sure all bales of shreaded paper in baler room will be hoist trucked outside. only special hoist (which we have 2 or3)are aloud in there and riding with forks dragging the ground there is an instant writeup.its the only true dangerous place in the plant,whole placeis down for atleaste 24 hrs.

    Was just out driving around and looked over to the San Bernardino mtns near Big Bear lake and see a huge billowing smoke plume !!!!! . And i look online to the Fire agencies to find info and find out it's a controlled burn

    Two things I see wrong is it's a very windy day with strong gusts and the website mentions it's limited to 125 acres . For a 125 acre brush fire the smoke plume is huge

    got my bed made and cleaned up the bunk - that sort of turned into a huge "junk drawer" for me last year and was just a catch all for everything that I didn't know what to do with. waxed all the wood inside and put some leather conditioner on the bench seat. got the door closed now and the heater running to burn any dust out of the system - HATE that smell and I know if it happens in the middle of the night it will wake me up. got to finish moving in the rest of my food and test out the fridge then I'm GTG!
    might try to get out for tomorrow night.

    its not hard so long as you're on even ground. if the truck and camper aren't on the same slope then its a PITA and it takes a few tries. last year I was in Yellowstone and I left the camper behind at camp, forest service camp with gravel and the main driving road was about 8" higher than my site AND while I was backing in my front drivers side tire stayed up on the road while the other 3 were down in my sites parking pad. when i had to pair the two back up it took me about an hour because of the wonky angle making so hard to tell if i was even or not
