Thanks for the update! Funny thing, I actually contacted Bilstein yesterday for the first time (specifically in regard to the Rear Left 25-269802). I called AND emailed.

On the call I was told there are supply chain issues, and to expect a month at a minimum.

On the email the response I received was this: “Sounds like 4 weeks out at the earliest but there are some concerns about the coating passing quality control.”

So, with all my other components sitting in my house and a wife wanting to see them disappear from the corner of the office, I am so ready to get that last part (25-269802)!

I may just install my SPC UCA’s in the next week or two just to get that out of the way. I’m gonna try to do the alignment myself (for the first time), so it should be a good practice run.

I’m impatient, so I went ahead and put on my 8112s this past weekend with stock rears/leaf. Left the height at 1.5” for now, and doesn’t look terrible. Will probably bump to 2” once I get the rears on.

I’d absolutely take a driver rear off of you.

On the flip side of this they are now making custom length ones probably for a bit more which would be cool and all but man these things are already pricy haha !

I wonder if this new run of 8100’s will have clickers/knobs rather than the set-screws. I saw a BilsteinUS Instagram post about 8100’s getting knobs.

waiting on my rears since Oct. Got my fronts in Nov. Haven't installed in case I need to return them. Tired of waiting on the rears, but I'm not sure any of the other manufacturers are in better shape.

Anyone have an updated ride impression they want to share? I vacillated hard between 8100's and Icon/Kings

I’d like to hear ride impressions too. I was committed to Fox 2.5 DSC for about a year, but once I became aware of the tech in the 8112/8100’s and how I felt it would be exactly what I wanted, I was bit by the Bilstein bug. Just wish I could install.

Wait, so you could get a 12" mid travel 8100 now?

1200's not terrible at today's prices. I've been paying ~1k per shock for this set (covid tax, I guess).

well I’m glad I haven’t been waiting nearly that long I guess. But all this waiting has caused me to consider getting archive garage’s mid travel relocation towers for the rear... But with the discount I had from ORW, with shipping these 8112 / 8100s came out to about $875 a corner.

Also, while in Contact with Bilstein, they showed me the 9200s. The 8100s are vehicle specific while the 9200s are the universal versions. You should be able to get a long travel setup using them. They were priced way under $1200 from what I saw.

Wrote to Bilstein last week asking about 8100’s. Was now told mid-April. The wait continues. Think we will be luck to see them by the end of may. Currently riding around with my 8112’s in the front and stock Bilsteins in back with a AAL. The front soaks up the bumps and the rear bounces around. Want my 8100’s!

I am pretty much in the same boat as you. Bought my suspension through BBO, have had my 8112s since Jan. I have been riding around with the 8112 installed (put on Eibach 700# springs) and am riding with the stock rear shocks and Icon RXT leafs. When I checked with BBO last week, they said the latest news they had received was 8100s available mid-May. Can't wait to feel the ride changes once the rear is on the same level as the front!

Such a bummer. I got my fronts in Oct. Every week brings another slip. April becomes May. The only reason I haven't returned my fronts is every other vendor is in the same boat or worse.

I bought my 8112/8100 at the beginning of this month and I’ve been watching the estimated ship date on Summit Racing’s website, I didn’t buy my shocks from them. The ship date has finally been staying at 5/17. It’s been at that date for a week now so hopefully that’s the day!

Ugh. Just called again, and they've been pushed out to mid-late June now...
