I was wondering where my food went!!!

 

Just spent the past 6 hours installing rock lights. I’ll get some night time pics later but if you want to see placement, go peep my IG story.

 

I decided to crawl under the truck and snap some pics to share. There are 12 lights, 6 on each side mirroring each other.

I was a bit strategic in my placement. This one is angled a hair forward for approach illumination.





This part of the frame has a slight upward angle to it, pointing the light towards the back of the front tire.




A nice flat area in the center of the sliders to fill in that middle ground.




These are angled inward a bit on the crossmember to illuminate directly under the truck.





this part is angled towards the front of the rear tire, which also protects the light, being nice and tucked up.



And finally, some nice axle illumination.

 

Thanks for sharing this Randy, just saved @Calamity_taco 's frame from that mistake of a purchase.

the lighting is very bright and well placed vs mine two dont work anymore lmao

 

That’s why I opted for cheaper lights, so I could afford to put a shitload of them under there. I installed 12 of them lol

 

oh wow lol i think my kit was only 50 bucks but i havent bothered to cut the two i broke out yet lol

looks good thou man

 

Not bad for cheapies.

What a day. I went to install the ABS kill switch discussed earlier and thought I killed my truck. Long story short, it was just a fuse.

Now it works exactly as intended. I flip on my rear locker and the dash light illuminates and disables ABS.

 

I fucked up the paint on my hood... it was sadly, not a fuse.

 

Wait, what? I feel like I’m missing some details.

 

Trying to fill in those 100 rock chips with touch up paint... got a little too happy with the wet sanding....
