I bought my Husky floor liners from Action Truck in Kitchener and Active Green and Ross ordered me the tonneau cover for significantly less than I could get it elsewhere, but that may have been because I have been a customer there for years and am on a first name bases with the owner and several employees.
I have halogen bulbs in my truck. They generate heat and help to melt snow and ice off the lenses. From my experience LED lights don't generate enough heat to melt the snow and ice.

I’ve done 7 or 8 recoveries on my set, a few nubs ripped off but have already paid for themselves.

Let's not forget about lumen maintenance. In 1, 2 or however many years the output of the halogen will be markedly decreased compared to the LED's. We have all seen this when installing a single new bulb and its way brighter and whiter(hotter) than the other. Below is a chart that shows this on a relative scale. From my experience (and from working in a lighting engineering and manufacturing company) lumen maintenance on incandescent bulbs is all over the place.

On personal experience, a high quality middle of the pack halogen (Osram, GE, etc...) is the best all round compromise for lumen maintenance and lifespan. The budget bulbs typically last fine but have poor lumen maintenance and typically lower initial output. The super high end bulbs have high initial brightness, great lumen maintenance, but they fail pretty quickly (almost yearly). The middle of the pack brand name halogens have given me good life, good initial output and great lumen maintenance in the first few years.

My truck came with 'winter mats' - the big rubber mats. Are the Husky/Weathertech mats much better?

The Weathertech mats aren't much better than the OEM ones. However, the floorliners are a different thing altogether. Just Google for pictures of them. I liked the floorliners so much that I ordered my set before I took delivery of my truck, so they were ready to go in day 1.

Ah yes, but that goes against the phrase...Tacoma doesn't fvck, fly or float, despite what we read here on TW.

There were plans to check out the Taco's flying ability in Silver Lake last year, alas the borders closed.
