Used limos make great family cars. Put the kids in the back and roll up the glass.

Why not the passenger side for sidewalk access?

We have two kiddos only a year and a half apart, so my new Taco has two of these behemoth seats in it (Graco Extend2Fit). I'm 6'2" so we moved the smaller kid behind me. The only change I've had to make is that the kiddo behind me has to have her shoes off to fit comfortably. I bought the Taco knowing I'd be losing a bit of carseat space compared to my old Charger, but I still feel like it was worth it. I'll try to snap a pic of the fit and leg room when I go outside later today.

Can anyone suggest which Diono (or similar) seat to go with for forward facing 4 year old? My wife has a Maxi Cosi or some shit and it’s a beast. I am not putting that thing in my DC truck. I want something that is safe but minimalist.

I have a "Graco grow with me" carseat. That car seat is in the middle and really does limit the driver and passenger seating positions.

I see ninnivans in your future.

And industrial shop vac for the monthly Goldfish/debris round up.

Get either vinyl or leather for clean up. Anything and everything, even things your don't recognize will be spilled/found.

Kids are a messy spot looking for clean location.

My daughter has the extend 2 fit and it limits my wife a decent amount, I will be getting her Diono soon.

My wife also has some monster heavy convertible seat in her car that we've had since my dude was born. I wanted something more minimalist as soon he went forward facing. From Dino you probably want something like the Cambria.

My kid is currently 5yo. I've this Britax in my double cab mounted on the passenger side.

They won't even have to hang on if you have a Tonneau Cover. Win!

I’ve had a few children, right now my youngest is still rear facing. I bought another (at least my personal third) diono and hate it when it faces the rear. I’m not a big person (5’7”) My partner has a graco that works with a base or without. I use that thing all the time. I’ll put the diono back when the daughter is ready to face forward.

i’m 6’4” and here’s my car seat setup. i have it in the middle because it’s supposed to be safest and it allows me to keep the driver seat where i like it. i keep a backpack and diaper bag at foot area behind driver seat. the seat behind driver most often used for groceries/packages. my lady and older daughter can fit in both the passenger side seats fine. oh and i can still store reachable stuff (like my hard hat and snacks) in the middle in front of the car seat.
