It appears we had similar early trucks, and very similar recent trucks (I have a 21 version of your 20 on order)

That's what I was afraid of. Thinking I'm going to have to splurge for a rack for over the topper

After much research between Carlinkit 2.0 and c2playair for wireless carplay. I went with Carlinkit 2.0. Within 2 minutes I had it connected and running with no issues. The steering wheel controls work flawlessly. I had not had any missing or intermittent playing so far.
Waze and Google Maps works. Impressed...so far.

When you have goals to really clean your truck.

    Bust out pressure washer ✓
    Connection to hose broken ✓
Say fuck it grab hose with foam gun attachment and see mice ate that shit ✓
Wash truck old school with buckets only ✓
Hose shut off at house breaks✓

Still happy to have cleaned the taco

For the Mazda B series nostalgia peeps from a few pages back, I found one picture in my digital archives. Pretty sure this is pre-digital cameras and I scanned this years ago. This is at some hotel around Lake Isabella. I think pre-2000 wedding to the wifey, we were in town to do a 3-day white water rafting trip on the Kern River.

    1997 B2300, 2WD, manual 5-speed. Paid $14k new.

    Trips Included:
    - Mammoth
    - Tahoe
    - Napa Valley
    - Yosemite
    - Sequioia and Kings Canyon
    - Zion
    - Bryce Canyon
    - Arches
    - Moab
    - Sedona
    - Grand Canyon
    - Joshua Tree

The cap topper is a Vista shell, out of business I think. The topper had no front section (i.e. no area where the window would be.) Just a bulb seal that went up against the cab. It never leaked in the 7 years I owned it. Camped a number of times solo and with the wife in the back but it was rough with the low ceiling. Convenient but rough. And I had no where to store things.

Bonus pic from the scans of me trying to look cool at camp on the side of the river and about 30-40 pounds lighter than I am today. FutureGoals!

I feel your pain. I went to turn on the "frost free" tap and heard an unusual gush of water coming out of somewhere but not the tap. Discovered this and had to put on my plumber's cap before I could wash the winter off my Taco.

Ford owned part of Mazda from 1979 until 2015. They have a long history of sharing various different platforms with Ford using Mazda developed products for vehicles in their line up. The Escort, and Probe were based on the 323 and 626. The Navajo was the same as the Explorer, Ranger and B-Series trucks and later the Mazda Tribute was based on the Ford Escape. The original Ford Courier pickup was based upon a Mazda truck. The B-Series sharing the platform with the Ranger ran from 1994 until 2009. I owned a 1994 B-4000 up until last year. The Mazda beds were known for rusting out above the wheel wells so I replaced mine with a Ford Ranger bed at one point. I changed out the radio/cassette player when I bought it in 1996. The cassette door read Mazda and the back of the radio was stamped with the Ford logo. The B4000 also shared parts with the Ford Explorer. One of the many things I learned about the truck from the local you pull it salvage yard.
