Sweet, they could probably easily rebuild my existing to those specs.

My bad, I did not realize the top attachment was different. Fox 985-24-054 - 2.0 X 12.0 it will be then. I wanted to have Elka on both the front and the back, but I guess it won't make much difference.

I guess I can ask but I doubt they'll make a custom pair for me. I'll post if I have any luck.

Figure I better pick up the slack and post up my impressions after installing.

Actual install isn't too terrible... I mean, make sure you have a good quality grinder and plenty of flap disks or grinding rocks, your choice. A plasma makes short work of the initial removal, but it can be done with a Sawzall or cutoff wheels.

As with all of @ARCHIVE stuff the build quality is top notch and very well thought out. It even has notches in the tower to accommodate a pigtail mounting of the reservoir. Just be prepared to fish the nut around a bit because the tower is very close to the bedside... after all, this is all about sneaking the shocks in without having them stick way out and requiring wheel spacers and such like the other towers would require.

I can't wait to get out and stretch the trucks legs to see all the extra articulation the shocks and towers will allow for!

I messed with the nut for 3 seconds and then took a small hole saw to my bed so I could install the nut from the back end lol you ain’t kidding about clearances being tight. Good thing though so the tire doesn’t scrub the shock.

you guys think I can burn this with a 110v welder? (The little Harbor freight welder :D)
I keep going back and forth between 12 &14” currently leaning towards 14 though. Definitely looking for the most overall flex/travel.

The Chicago electric one? I certainly wouldn’t.

The titanium one is a solid welder, you would be fine using that. I used that exact one in 110v (with shielding gas) to put a bamf relocate on someone else’s truck, no issues. That Chicago electric one is just a real piece of crap.

This thing? I don’t think you can run gas through these. This is the one I have. Mainly used for small home projects. I think most Chicago electric stuff is crap lol.

Ah, no I used the next step up in the titanium line that is gas capable. That said, that is a solid little welder. IMO you’d be fine with it.

To be perfectly honest, I wouldn't. I know a lot of guys do a fair amount of stuff with the 120v welders, but IMHO if you can't chamfer both edges for welding then you aren't going to ensure solid penetration. On structural pieces I wouldn't chance it. But that is just my .02 and perhaps I am overly cautious from my previous experience/job...

Also, I spent A LOT of time on the phone and via email discussing 12 vs 14 for mine with Eric. A lot will depend on what spring setup you plan to run, but with my setup I am only sacrificing about 3/4" of droop but gaining a fair amount of ground clearance going with the 12". Also, the 3/4" would only measure out that far with the shackle bottoming out on the hanger in an extreme droop, and we both agreed that isn't a good limit point!
