    I wasn't happy with my appleseed food so I figured I'd give some MRE's a shot. Ate one last night and one today, and I'm really really sad I've slept on them for so long, they're not light but man that's a good variety of food. As a field food for Appleseed and maybe even food for Mammoth they're 100% the solution I was looking for.

    piddly stuff
    So I got out for a bit today and did some shooting. I finally got the 10/22 sighted in and sighted in the FX9 also. I'm not happy with the sight on the FX9 but it worked especially on the silhouette targets. Also ran a mag of 556. So a little expensive but a fun day!

    Good, I could use some plugging up.

    I'm thinking they'll be perfect for weekend stuff but anything longer and I'll have to find something that doesn't clog you up.

    I like mountain house. There’s a few others that are alright that are lighter too. Not as much transfat if any. MRE’s are high in transfat to help add shelf life. I wasn’t a big fan in the military and i don’t miss MRE’s. I usually pack some protein shakes too depending on the length of the activity. Nothing worst then losing gains when out in the field.
