Spending money on good pad locks is pointless sometimes. They are just a deterrent 'Oh its locked'. Nothing more. :burp:

They are for my shipping container. Which is in a gated, locked facility already.:cookiemonster:

I also park the truck with the rear bumper just about touching the doors. So the locks and handles are not easily accessible anyway.

None of that mattes if someone wants in, they will get in. :annoyed:

    THIS!

I'll rave on it again and again. for 90% of north americans that want a "truck" because "Truck life" or something and all they do is tail-gate parties (have you tested the speaker build into the bed? it's mental, basically it's a vibration speaker hard-mounted to the bed, effectively turning the entire bed into one), The odd shovel of dirt or 2 for the garden, beach and lawn chairs, the cooler for the cottage, sports stuff for the kids, grocery go-getter. a few 1x6s for the new fence after a wind storm, driving down a gravel road to the camp site at Algonquin....

actually don't even need a cooler since the "storage" in the bed by the spare tire has a drain plug in the bottom, so shovel up some ice cubes into it and you have a mobile cooler.

    it's a fantastic "truck".

but i need something that will go further than gravel trail, and that's what the Tacoma is to me.
    a glorified ATV.

    and i love it.

Did you get the front Fox 2.5's as well?

    :bananadance:

    @TeecoTaco :crapstorm:

Sometimes for $32 at cnd tire you get what you can in a 3 pack. Jeremiah told me they suck as well. But really. Any pad lock is going to loose to a grinder in less than 15 seconds. I could not convince myself to buy quality. :cookiemonster:

Naa fox 2.5 would require UCA, rear leaves, GM bump stops, the u bolt flip kit, and an alignment all to be done.
if i only i had 4 days off this coming weekend to do so....

Pad locks are for honest thieves, as was said before - "eh it's got a lock on it, not gonna bother"

but for those that are hell bent on taking what catches their eye...
given enough time, they'll steal anything.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hatton_Garden_safe_deposit_burglary

The burglars worked through the four-day weekend of the Easter Bank Holiday, when many of the nearby businesses (many of them also connected with Hatton Garden's jewellery trade) were closed. There was no externally visible sign of a forced entry to the premises.

TLDR: it's basically a hollywood Movie plot for the next Ocean's 37, where they rented out the building beside the jewlery store and bust into the elevator shaft, went down, and cored their way into the vault.

Quieter to use a hydraulic wire crimper, and you can crimp battery cables with it during off-season:

I think by that point whatever you're locking it to will be way easier to cut than the lock itself anyway. Especially on a truck

Curiosity led me to look up Tacos for sale. So what, I can sell my 2019 for 45 to 50k ? Am I reading that correct?
