@Kwikvette have you conditioned the leather in your 4runner? If so what did you use and how well did it work?

I've always used Adam's on the Corvettes.

The 4Runner got new leather over a year ago on everything except one seat/two seat bottoms so I haven't done anything for the 4R.

Thanks, I'll try the Adams. The last owner replaced the bottoms of the seats but not the tops. I want to try and save them.

I've been using Groit's 3 in 1 stuff in the 4Runner since putting the new leather seat covers in it, since it's easy to get at O'Rielly's. Adams makes good stuff too.

I use this stuff rarely, only when I want to do a really good clean and condition since this is a cream and goes on thicker.

    https://www.griotsgarage.com/product/leather+3in1+16+ounces.do

This stuff I use for a general wipe down, like after being on the trail for a few days.

    https://www.griotsgarage.com/product/leather-3in1-spray.do

Been really happy with both of them. I do like the smell of the Adam's stuff better. Really gives that true leather smell.

Griot's Garage makes a quality product!

In fact, when I washed the 4Runner days ago, it has drizzled/rained a bit and a ton of winds kicking up dirt.

Today, the 4Runner still looks pristine after having used this compound on it after wash -

I'm curious how much quieter things are after the insulation... and are you doing anything with the back wall of the cab? Did yours come from the factory with bare metal back there, or are you one of the lucky standard cabs with carpet?

Hmmm, might have to see how it does on my scratches scratches.

This stuff from Adam's, I love. Awesome leather smell and lasts a good long time. I might have to switch back to it. I used it on the leather in my previous 2004 Ram.

I guess my water pump didn't like all those coolant flushes and overheats and that rust they freed up to circulate in the system

Coolant is sorta just pouring outta that hole they have on the Camry

Also the upper radiator fans look clogged with rust chunks

Gonna try some thermocure by evaporust before putting on the new wp

So I just got it back together and took it for a spin. I think road noise is reduced noticably, but you can still hear that glorious 4 banger through the firewall. Makes sense, I think.

Had a nice fun-filled adventure day. Stopped at Oark to get a bite to eat and take a break from driving.

Met up with the two 80 series owners later in the day when we got to Byrds. They were down from Kansas City to attend the party. I didn't know when I made the picture that I would later get to know the owners. I mostly stayed with a group of LC owners from KC.

The Oark Cafe was the usual weekend crowded. People standing in line to get one of their famous burgers. It was British Leyland day.

    upload_2021-4-24_8-17-28.jpg

Lots of campers at Byrds for the weekend.

A yellow plane would take off and land on the runway.

The Riverfront Restaurant has some good food. We ate dinner there.

More visiting with the people from Kansas City.

Do you have a Healey? This is the first time I've seen the Leyland group out in force.

Yeah kind of. I take care of my Dads 1966 3000 BJ8, which is owned by Mom since he passed away. Been in the family since 1967.
