@Slashaar - Aesthetically not at all what you're going for but my 8' bench comes apart and goes together with 16 bolts, but that's also with a bottom shelf. You should be able to make due with 12 if you add extra legs in the middle.

build a frame like the Jay Bates picture above and either use hardware like he is using or affix the top to the frame with fasteners up into the top through the rails with elongated holes for seasonal movement in the wood top

Only the menliest of men fear not the hanging of linen curtains!

The two bars in the second pic are DEAD level, but they appear high on the inside due to slope in the ceiling. Contemplating unleveling them to correct the optical illusion. :annoyed:
Hoping it doesn't look as bad when the curtains go up.

Working on finishing my master bath. Got the window trimmed (PVC). Hopefully, I can seal it up well enough. Ready for tile.

Looks great :) and pvc trim would be ideal but wow a window in a shower seems like you’re asking for water intrusion in your wall. Is this a common building practice? How did you flash and seal it? Genuinely curious, always like learning new things lol.

Sealed it up to the window frame with the kerdi and used kerdi-fix to adhere it to the frame.

I was initially VERY concerned about this, but I do a lot of 100+ year old home tours and I see this quite a bit. And they use wood for their trim. I'm not crazy about it. It it was the hand I was dealt. The obvious point of entry will be the window seal edges. Caulk and pray.

Let's hope so. It doesn't hurt that the shower is 48" wide. So...the nozzle is 2' away from the window.

    A thing or two...
I replaced the ice maker in my refrigerator today. The old one would randomly get stuck when it dumped the ice into the bucket, and it would then pour water into the bucket and out the ice chute. I'd just had the ice maker turned off for the last year and recently decided that it was time to fix it.

I also did some yardwork. I went around the property and picked up all the branches that had fallen in the last 2 months. Then I fired up the trimmer for the first time this year and went around the front and side yard and cleaned up the edge of the lawn, so I can see the curb, driveway, and walk edges. Planning to run the edger around tomorrow or next weekend. Finally, I fired up the blower to clean up the trimmer mess.

Has anyone put eyes (or better yet, hands) on the new Dewalt modular outdoor power tool platform? Sounds like a great idea in theory. Basically you have a standard 60v flexvolt power-base with string trimmer, edger, pole saw, hedge trimmer, brush clearer and blower attachments.

We have a window in our master bath that I always thought would fuck up the chances of making the shower I want (currently massive soaker tube we never user is in the space) but always was worried about water getting in the wall. This gives me hope.
