Props, looks great. I know most don't wanna part with the badges when they pay for a TRD but it does look so much better in my humble opinion.

Thanks I guess I will give it a shot. The iron fallout looks awful to me but I guess most don’t notice it.

Doctors need to write on the limb they're amputating so they remove the correct one...

Got an oil change and specified three times "don't touch my air filter or fill the washer fluid" yet the reservoir was filled with their cheap crap at the end.

You are DEFINITELY justified purchasing that cover, and even still it may end up flashed.

Is that the Leitner rack? From what I have seen the best engineered rack on the market. I will probably get one. How was the install? Painful or doable for a rank amateur?

    Taking the dam off tomorrow!

No rubbing with tires at all and the suspension is still stock. Any bigger and I'm sure there would be a bit

Yeah man, that air dam gives such a dorky grandpa look to the truck.

Speaking of... I've got a free air dam for any dorky grandpas in the Portland area.

I finally got the BAK Revolver Tonneau that I've been wanting forever. I like the fact that it can be used even with a bed rack and an RTT (maybe some day). I actually got the X4S which I like even better being all black. I picked it up through a recent TW Group Buy. Now I finally feel like I can leave my Axe, Shovel, and Fire Extinguisher in the bed rather then pulling them out for my daily commute. Unfortunately, when rolled up, I could no longer hook bicycle forks to the mounts I put on the head rail (like @[TACOMA] posted here). I thought about moving the bike mounts from the front rail to a set of VooDoo crossbars I use to transport skis. The only problem there was that the Tonneau moves the bed rails just a little closer together. Luckily, I was able to find a couple "J" hooks and (other than the fact that I can't close the tailgate with the bikes on board) I think I'm in a pretty good place  I think I might need to look into a ROK Block Tailgate seal though since I need to leave the tailgate down to transport bikes and skis now.

Just wanted to thank @rock09 for hooking me up with his old nerf bars. I know they don't offer up any real protection, but I like the look. But then again, I even like a little chrome here and there :notsure:

See the 3rd Gen headlight thread for all the data, specifically posts #2 (halogens) and #3 LEDs.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...11-projector-headlights.589465/#post-19689309

Best plug and play bulb: Tungsram Xenon Nighthawk H11 +120
Best maximum performance in the halogen assemblies: Philips H9 swap to the low beams
Best replacement LEDs (lower in perfromance than the above halogens): Hikari Ultra and Morimoto 2stroke 3.0. The Morimotos are slightly better focused and superior build and design, but the Hikaris are just a little brighter.
    Best headlights overall: OEM LED
Brightest headlights overall: Morimoto XB v2.0

For the OEM halogens, I'd recommend the H9 swap as the best performing option. The Philips H9s are the best performers, but the Hella Performance 2.0 are a close second and a little whiter, if favoring a slightly higher color temp.

The OEM LEDs are better than any upgrade in the OEM halogen assemblies, and is the best option overall. But the value in performance gain for a simple $16 bulb swap with the H9s is impossible to beat.

I like the nut hugging look of those type of bars.

If I didn't have a crippled back and actually used the step to help me in, that'd be my top choice.

Did the nipple rings today. I didn’t like how the Bulletproof Fab(BPF) shackle mounts backed the stock bolts out a half inch, so I picked up some 10.9 grade M12 45mm bolts from Fastnel based off another member’s suggestion, for the passenger side. The driver’s side mount came with 8.8 grade M12 40mm bolts, that was a nice touch. I thought about getting some 10.9 grade bolts for the driver’s side as well, but upon removing the box ends of the frame cross member, I realized how much overkill even the 8.8 bolts are. These are definitely for decoration only. I wanted something a little more then the demon brackets, but didn’t go with the ARB recovery point because my taco is a pavement princess, and will never need to be hard yanked out of anywhere. Also, wanted the look of the nipple rings, and couldn’t get that with the ARB... I threw some $12 Amazon red shackles on there, didn’t want someone walking away with my Crosby shackles. I tightened them down with a breaker bar, so at least thieving bastards would need something more then their fingers to unscrew them... Oh yeah, notched the air dam to fit around the new mounts, cause I don’t like seeing my Taco’s underparts hanging out the front.
    Cheers!
