Can't wait to get out there and play around a bit more. Was out in OW Sat night early Sunday and the ground wasn't too wet in a lot of places. I sure hope it'll be ok out there in a few weeks and not a huge mud pit... Desert mud = no bueno to clean off.

I bet a good 40-50 trucks will be out there. What suck is the mud. Las time I went out there it flashed flooded while I was offroading and the mud was terrible. It's like clay sand mud. Stuff will stick like gecko hands! Not fun to clean off.

Does the spot we are planning to camp at have pick nick tables?

I know we have a ton of people going so it might be a good to start thinking about the little things like that.

I'm sure people will bring their own food for the most part, but preparation areas will need to be considered. If anyone has E-Z Ups they should bring those, folding tables, folding chairs, grills (cooking for 70 on 1 or 2 will take forever).

This should be the biggest event I've experienced on TW so lets set a good example for future meets.

Yea I had to get out of the truck and it sucked up to my shoes. Then I was walking and slipped. Stuff was redonkulous. Other than that, had a blast!

Yup, I'm going to buy a little folding table and bring a few chairs and grill. I'm surfing Craigslist trying to find some little items to bring.

Hope others bring some of these items

walmart had ez-ups for 59 bucks last weekend. i wanna say they were 12'x12'. not 100% though.(was there looking for an suv air mattress)wasn't sure what the going rate for those are...so i held off.
also..target has the small portable bbq's that run off the small green propane bottles for 39 bucks. pretty sweet. gonna snag one so i dont have to mess with charcoal.

    Just wait!
    FYI from past Superstition events:
Bring anchors for your tents and EZ ups (5 gal buckets or sand bags) Stakes don't work.
    Water, lots of it
Motorcycle/ski goggles( if its windy you'll be glad)
GPS, and maybe FRS radios we can set a channel before leaving
Leave your, fireworks, firearms and explosives at home they always turn onto an ugly situation with others and the ever so present BLM rangers.
Be ready for warm weather and cold nights
I've been to a few events and camped out in that area and its a really good time, if you want a challenge you can go south from Ocotillo wells on Split Mountain road and turn east (left) on the Plaster City Expressway (beside the train tracks) Turn left at the train car target on the left go towards the Superstitions and make a right at the pole line and it will take you to the mountains base. Fun! Be safe and we'll all have fun.
