That’s fine. All I care about is getting the truck I want. Told the guy I didn’t want a single thing on it except for the Premium package and tailgate lock.

The only RAM I would bother with is a TRX, It's still cheaply made Chrysler junk but at least it looks fun.

You should be Ok then. The tailgate lock is either put in at port or the dealership. So all you have to look for is a premium
Package, if color and drivetrain don’t matter there will b lots Of choices. Good luck.

Beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder

I think the DCSB is fugly and the proportions are completely wrong- Although not as fugly as a tundra which looks like a sumo wrestler wearing a thong

Haha nope it wouldn't have. But I admit I agree with @farmtacoma, the short box's dimensions are "fugly" to me.

They tried getting me into a Sport that was scheduled to arrive in a few days. Saw the options it came with and noticed it had $300 carpet floor mats and $400 badge overlay kit... hard pass.

i specifically removed everything. No badges, no floor mats, no vehicle protection package, no mud flaps, no side steps. Just premium package and tailgate lock.

the AG is a sick color, blends right in with the woods and really stands out in the ocean of Dark Grey Tacomas and Silver Tacomas here in Northern CA.. Very easy on the eyes in any lighting conditions

Just an update to my last week's post. I've just received the VIN for my truck. Turns out, in Canada, dealers can only find the VIN once the truck is delivered to Toyota Corporate Canada. I was able to locate the truck on the app and it says there's only 2km on it. The status as of this afternoon is "Released to Truck Loading", which I would assume means it's awaiting transport from Toyota Corporate Canada to the dealership now (30min drive basically). ETA for the dealership is this Wednesday to Friday, hopefully, it's on the earlier end!

Truck is TRD Off Road Access Cab in Army Green

Wish I had found this Site and Thread before I went through this process. The twists and turns and salesman obfuscations of the process would have made a lot more sense. Yeah, I though I was “ordering a truck”, and the salesman never did disabuse me of that notion, although I will say he was pretty good at keeping in touch and updating me along the way to give me hope. Ironically, the week of March 22 was the original build estimate, after he told me they had a hard allocation (I didn’t understand the significance of that at the time). Then he told me production had been delayed. Not sure why it took a month to get here. I never did press for a provisional Vin or anything. Whatever. I got it.

One thing I’ll add is that on “deposit day” the salesman spontaneously laughed when I told him I wanted a manual transmission. He said it couldn’t be done. And then added “no way” for emphasis. So I got everything I wanted but a manual.

Unfortunately you can only get ACLB MT up to Sport trim levels. Believe you can still get an OR MT but it'd be DCSB, and unsure about Pro but I'd guess that's a "no" due to crawl control and all that.

DCSB Pro and OR can both be had with MT. DCLB trucks are all AT.
