    There are two ring and pinion sets available for rear diff for our trucks and both are considered "8 inch". The one for the elocker diff is sometimes referred to as an 8" and sometimes as an 8.2". The one for the non-elocker open diff is sometimes referred to as an 8.4" The ring and pinion sets for these two different diff types are not interchangeable.

    OP, do you know which of these two different 3rd memberss your gear set came out of?

    Darn, okay yeah I have a open rear differential. Thanks @Digiratus for clarifying, I knew that they were different carriers but I always thought the ring gears were a 8” as well. OP good luck with sale :thumbsup:
