    I agree! I try and stick to NGK or Denso plugs only. They were only a hair over $3 a piece. Looking at the old plugs it definitely confirms it's an oil burner. Oh well.

    I'm thinking Evo swap. If the body was in better condition I'd be sourcing one now, but I don't have the time. I'll keep tinkering with it till the beginning of Fall when I'll likely sell it. As it sits I can probably get $3k for it. Another coworker has an old Toyota pickup I want to get. Wait, what the Hell is it with me getting cars from coworkers?

    I put a Venom 250 muffler from Black widow mufflers in my truck 2 years ago and love it. Very different sound. I also have an AFE stage 2 CAI which was installed before I got the exhaust.

    This by far is the ugliest plugs I've ever pulled out of a vehicle, even my 1987 Oldsmobile Delta 88 which had probably never seen a tuneup before I bought it in 2005...

    She's an oil burner, that's for sure. The platinum tips are completely worn off, pretty bizarre. Put standard copper back in; that's all these little 4 bangers need...

    Been throwing a lean code at higher rpms. Replaced the pickup sock which we think was collapsing under the suction of the the aftermarket high powered fuel pump. The new sock is much more rigid. We also bypassed a potentially weak factory electrical connection between the pump and pump relay. Now the pump runs directly off of it's relay.

    Did several long pulls. Zero issues....no DTCs. We're going to continue to tune it.
