Hey y’all. Bought my Taco 2019 used. Found some glowing switch in the panel underneath my steering wheel. Any idea what it might be for?

Probably leftover from a light bar or ditch lights. Chase the wires.

Or maybe something stealth like a non-street-legal horn or radar detector. The location makes me wonder.

Strongly resembles the switches and harness wire that rigid industries lights come with.

Could be literally anything. I just yanked a bunch of crap t-tapped to my harness that was for an aftermarket alarm. Complete with 10A fuse with no holder taped to the harness. To get a better look pull up the threshold(snaps in place), remove the dead pedal(one plastic button screw), remove the kick panel (one bolt), pop off the E-brake cover and remove the lower trim panel. Maybe 10 minutes all together. You might be able to see that wiring lying on your back with your hair full of pedals but it’s much easier to remove the trim, especially if you end up removing the wiring. Check the interior fuse panel for fuse taps also.

That's for the TRD Missile Launchers OP, rare option pack. Good find!

I have the same switch for my light bar. Its an aftermarket switch that could be used for anything like a winch, light-bar, air compressor, etc.

    same shit as everyone else
I'd bet someone bought a lightbar for the front grill and took it off the truck before selling it. Or maybe ditch lights. Pop the hood and look at the drivers side firewall. There's probably the other half of that wire harness going through a large rubber grommet.

That switch could be fore a lot of things... but that's not for a winch. Winches require a DTSP momentary switch.

But yes, that could be for "nearly" anything.
