I’m going to call SETF and ask what it is they’d what me to do or where they’d want me to take it. Just scared of all the issues the truck will have after they fix it. They for sure miss things.

Just inspect the truck after repairs, address any issues you may find. Since its all cosmetic damage, its just going to be new door, new bed side, new fender, new bumper, new tail light and some other misc stuff.

Check for overspray, clear coat runs, and not fully painted panels and you should be good.

I worked as a autobody tech for a few years, that damage is not very bad.

    First time?

Going from the limited viewpoint of your photos, I just see body damage. No airbags and I'm going to bet a beer that the critical points on the frame were missed.

They'll replace and paint panels, check the alignment, and maybe replace a control arm if it really got bent. As bad as it looks, that doesn't look like bad damage to me.

    Whoa... Down boy...

It's easy to be all butt-hurt after an accident, but most likely that truck will be repaired and be fine. No reason to dis people that make a living fixing what other people screw up. There are lots of well repaired vehicles out there that you'd never know they'd been wrecked. Choose your shop wisely.

Judging from the pictures, nothing is going to be damaged under there. The core support and inner metal is a good 8-10 inches from the bumper.

Fyi. Should have reported it to the other two insurance companies. Not yours. Yours isn't going to pay anything unless your uninsured motorist coverage is needed. It now shows as a claim on your record until it's settled. Always report to the at fault party's insurance. Only get your carrier involved if there is no other choice or if it was your fault.

And no matter how mad you get, don't ever say I'm calling a lawyer. Once you do, the agent, the claim rep, and the carrier are no longer allowed to talk to you directly. If it gets to the point of needing a lawyer, just get a lawyer. Don't threaten to get Lawyer.

If it wasn't your fault, you don't have anything to worry about. Hopefully, it's not totaled because if it is and you didn't get the gap insurance, you may be stuck with the difference of the totaled value and what you still owe in the lease - unless you sue. If it was the other party's fault, you will be able to take it to a repair shop of your choice and demand OEM parts. In addition, you will get a rental billed to their insurance company. It sucks, but unfortunately, it happens. Glad you're ok.

Sorry to hear this, the most important thing is you're ok. Trucks can be replaced, people can't. On the bright side, it's a lease, you don't have to buy it.

On the other hand you could be worrying for nothing.

I bought a totaled truck and repaired it in my driveway a couple of years ago. I've driven it 15K miles and haven't touched it except to change the oil since repair. Good shops do good work.
