EV's currently are cheaper to fuel than it's ICE equivalent. An EV Tacoma definitely will be. Not to mention quicker, more torque, more horsepower, reliability, 95% less maintenance. Just drive and enjoy.

    Uber won’t qualify them.

Yeah I think Toyota will design an awesome truck.

If they don’t allow for aftermarket suspension work it’s sales will tank. Funny thing is you could think of it as a big ass 400V winch on 4 wheels.

Interesting. If the motors aren't at the wheels I wonder this too.

The winch motor would be separate but it’s a 400v system instead of 12v so the copper cables could be #10 wire instead of #1.

EV's do have a 12v subsystem to operate the climate controls and dash, windows, etc. Interesting if RIVIAN would support a winch hookup eventually.

    Mostly dust and dirt.
I wonder where all the people that live in apartments and such will charge all these amazing vehicles.

It will still be a Tacoma. Toyota knows how important it is to allow upgrades and mods.

Good question. Time will tell. Seems they would have to install charging areas.

Many apartments (at least the newly built ones) have few charging stations. I think that is a relatively easy conversion, so every apartment could be upgraded. Especially after EVs get mass adoption, not having one will be a big disadvantage.

Bye bye 236 hp 4.0, hello 350 hp and 400 torque? No more oil changes and filters, except the cabin air filter.

Most likely the charger won't cost the property owners any $$ to install either.

For sure! I mean we can even think out of the box. If the car is self driving, it can drop me off for work, go get charged somewhere while I am at work, and pick me up after work.
