You can opt for new bearings. And if they didn't last then they wouldn't be offering the warranty they do using old bearings.

Call them and tell them you want your diffs regeared and sent back. Everyone has diffs sent already regeared and sends theirs back so their truck isn't sitting on jack stands for a month or so.
I can't say I have ever heard of diff bearings going bad, I'm sure it has happened but never heard of any.

Drive shaft is out of balance. Take it to a shop to get it rebalanced

Your problem sounds almost identical to the issue I had on mine. I couldn’t find the source and finally found the culprit being driveshaft. Had Severe vibrations 40-60

That’s probably next on the list unless I find bad U joints when I pull the shaft. Gonna get them to fix the tires and see where that gets me first.

I spent time measuring drive shaft angles and getting that dialed in during all this though. So maybe it wasn’t a total waste of time. I had the pinion shim pointed the total opposite way of what it needed to be :bananadead:

That's the least likely fix anyways. Get the tires road forced as well.

If it only does it at a certain speed is definitely driveshaft related. If it was anything else it would do it all the time and not a certain speeds

That's not necessarily true. My driveshaft vibrates at all speeds. Tires can also not show out of balance but at certain speeds.

Everytime my wheels where out of balance it’s a different vibration that what he described. Either way I probably would have started with rebalancing wheels and driveshaft. Those are both pretty cheap things to do and probably could be the cult

You'll have a ujoint cause a vibration before a driveshaft going out of balance that just doesn't happen really unless you dent it, bend it, or knock the welded on weight off. Plus replacing a ujoint is cheaper and easier than rebalanc9ng a DS

Back to work and its a nightmare with unreasonable deadlines. Can't take one day off. I hate my job take me back to the mountains

    From AlabamaWX

WARMING TREND: An upper ridge will keep Alabama dry through Wednesday, and the warming trend continues. We project a high around 80 degrees today, followed by mid 80s tomorrow and Wednesday. Clouds will increase Thursday, and our next chance of rain will come late Thursday afternoon, Thursday night, and into Friday morning as a cold front passes through the state. At this time we aren’t expecting any severe weather issues with the main dynamic forcing passing to the north, and limited instability.

Rain amounts for most of the state will be around one inch, and the rain will end from northwest to southeast during the day Friday. Friday will be cooler following the frontal passage with highs back in the low 70s.

THE ALABAMA WEEKEND: A very dry airmass will be in place, and the weather will be beautiful with sunny days and fair nights. The high Saturday will be in the mid 70s, followed by low 80s Sunday.

NEXT WEEK: Moisture will increase a bit by Monday with some risk of widely scattered showers, but the best chance of rain next week will come in the Wednesday/Thursday time frame with another cold front. See the Weather Xtreme video for maps, graphics, and more details.

RAIN UPDATE: Here are rain totals since January 1, and the departure from average…

    Mobile 23.40″ (+2.46″)
    Muscle Shoals 22.83″ (+5.18″)
    Huntsville 21.88″ (+3.37″)
    Birmingham 21.12″ (+2.86″)
    Tuscaloosa 19.82″ (+1.07″)
    Montgomery 17.98″ (-1.37″)
    Anniston 10.88″ (-7.11″)

ON THIS DATE TEN YEARS AGO: The second day of the 2011 Super Outbreak was underway. From April 25-28, 2011, over 175 tornadoes struck Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee, the most severely damaged states. Other destructive tornadoes occurred in Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, New York, and Virginia, with storms also affecting other states in the Southern and Eastern United States.

Alabama’s encounter with tornadoes during this event would be one day later, on April 27. I wrote this on the afternoon blog discussion April 26: “all of the synoptic elements for a major outbreak are in place. A deep (sub-1000 mb) low west of Memphis, steep lapse rates, strong veering of the wind with altitude in respect to projected storm motion, strong wind fields at the surface and aloft, dry air in the mid levels, and a very deep, long wave upper trough that is somewhat negatively tilted enhancing diffluence aloft over Alabama.”

In my case all the u joints were brand new (dont know about clay) so i knew it wasn't that. Also i wasn't saying buy a new shaft just take it to get tested and rebalanced at a reputable DS shop. But yea i wouldnet buy a new DS right off the bat haha.

When i did my conversion i took my prerunner shaft and got it cut to length. Its better balanced now than it was from factory.

@baldridge can you measure the distance of the inside where the panels mount to your rack? I want to see if i could buy one of those boxes to fit up with my rack.
