I drove one of the first Mach1's in my area back in 2003, really liked the feel of that engine as it felt like a mix of my 1992 and 2002 Mustangs.

Nope. I know this is PennSilverTaco.

The "X walk" is a poor abbreviation for Crosswalk.

Pretty sure I would’ve chewed someone out if they punched my truck... see nothing wrong with this..

I’d slip the fact that I would’ve stopped had they made themselves appropriately visible, but like OP said, don’t touch my shit!

oh yeah and that whole thing about pedestrians having the right of way, totally agree, but physics, Darwinism and damn good parenting (not just letting your tot/kid run next to an open road if you haven’t properly introduced them with what happens) are things to be taken into account here.

doesn’t help that most crosswalks are in stupid busy areas without proper lighting.

My wife and I were on a walk through our town's Main Street, it's a pedestrian heavy zone with light up flashing crosswalks and stop lights everywhere. Walk sign turns on, we start crossing...suddenly a Nissan Frontier wanting to make a turn decides to go for it, had we not seen him coming and jumped back he would have mowed us down.

I managed to get a good kick into his bedside and I'd do it again. Fuck that guy and anyone else like him. He must have been drunk or thought he ran one of us over because he sped off like a bat out of hell.

And I for sure did flip out at the guy; Had dashcam footage of it too, so if he damaged my truck I would have taken him to court!

yeah, if a dummy don’t slow down when a crosswalk is lit with flashers (assuming someone didn’t just slap the lights and not allow drivers adequate time to respond), they have some bad juju coming their way.

glad you guys didn’t get hit!

Almost bailed from my lawnmower today, was near the ditch line and tried to turn but the mower just started sliding in! I pulled back on the sticks to engage reverse just as l was rising to jump off and the tires thankfully finally grabbed. l am always careful near the edge but the grass was wet, scary AF!

If someone punched my truck they might have well of punched my wife. Its going down then and I'll eventually stop seeing red but it most likely won't be until after there is fire and fury.
You don't punch a man's truck where I'm from unless your ready to go to battle.

    :amen:

I used to work as a barback at a very popular bar/music venue, and that job abruptly ended when the place closed indefinitely for renovations and then COVID hit...

    :annoyed:

In 2016, 2017, and 2018 I worked on Thanksgiving Eve, which is the biggest drinking night of the year; The bar is located down a narrow alleyway. In 2016, I beeped at a group of drunken college kids who were standing in the middle of said alleyway. One of the bastards ran up to my truck while it was moving and pounded on the hood of the truck like a drum.

The only reasons I didn’t knock his teeth out are because I was on the bar’s property and there were too many witnesses. I actually put the truck in park, jumped out, and was like “DON’T TOUCH MY FUCKING TRUCK!!!”

I wanted to grab him and slam his head against the nearby brick wall, but my common sense prevailed and I let him and his friends go with just a homicidal glare and the aforementioned profanity-laced tirade.

I’ve also encountered drunks who want to square off with me because I turn on my brights when they’re either blocking my way or crossing the street too slowly.

I worked at a bar for more than four years, and I’ve been drunk a few times myself, but the behavior of drunk individuals continues to both shock and amaze me...

This did not involve my truck (or any driving for that matter), but it did occur at the bar where I used to work; I was there as a customer, drinking with some friends and coworkers...

Getting asked if I have either a lighter and/or a cigarette by other bar patrons is such a common occurrence that I stopped counting how many times I get asked.

This was sometime in 2016-2017, and we were out on the patio; A hot girl asked me if I had a lighter, and since I don’t smoke, I told her no and thought nothing of it. She was clearly intoxicated, and she went batshit crazy; She jumped up from her seat and just started screaming. “That’s bullshit!” and “You’re lying!” were among the things she said; It took two of her friends to force back into her seat as I backed away.

She was cut off and left with her friends a short time later, but I’ve never seen anyone go that nuts over a nonsmoking stranger telling them they didn’t have a lighter!

At the rest stop in Newark, Delaware right now; Still amazes me that Starbucks employees can’t spell my name even after I tell them that it’s with an “ie” at the end...
