    I told him just like everyone else, he needs to update his ECU.
    He is getting it done.
    I am now asking people for their ECU ID and making sure that they are updating.

    Everyone seem to want to "read ECU", I miss the "Identify" button.

    with how many people you are providing services and files for you should consider creating an instructions set. There is no Identify button on the new software

    Theoretically the vF instructions would suffice, since the customers have vF regardless and the flash process is the same for an OVT map as it is any other.

    I point them to your instructions for Vftuner.
    The problem is that there are so many new people. The old software was much simpler and user friendly. That Identify button helped people figure out the ECU version.
    Maybe if the Prepare ECU button was Prepare/Identify ECU.

    VF Tuner instructions doesn't say anything about updating an ECU and updating ECUs is not an easy task

    A rather large update is coming to VF Tuner soon for the 2GR-FKS specifically for expanded camshaft control

    - idle intake VVT
    - Full range Exhaust VVT Tuning patch (no more 0*fR WOT)
    - Cylinder Pressure limit for int VVT / ex VVT angle limit disable
    and much more.

    These tables are a critical part of eliminating part of the tune at lower rpm / higher load where the engine noticeably stumbles and stutters

    Yes this is part of the valve overlap update, along with a few other things including access to idle controls for VVT.

    Toyota made VVT on this so complex it's not even funny.
    You'd think there is 2 3D tables that's all you need. Nope.

    Exhaust VVT > base target + low load max retard target + high load max advance target / Load Dependent Limits / Mid Range Max Retard / RPM dependent
    Intake VVT > Base target, Base Target Max Load Cap, Base Target Idle,
    Then there is Cylinder pressure control offset for valve retard and valve advance

    Meaning if Exhaust VVT is X then limit on Intake VVT is Y,
    If Exhaust VVT is max advance intake VVT is default Max Advance
    If Exhaust VVT is max Retard, Default Intake VVT limit (high Load) 40*


    Not only does it cause stuttering at <2000 rpm high load, but it does not work well for boost at all.

    Was spending some time comparing SFOB Reg for Dump Tubes vs SFOB Reg and even with various tables highlighted, not one of them had a single difference. The only difference then as far as what we vF users could historically see is the 0420/0430 byte tables and obviously even those are no longer available in the updated versions.

    The reported ~30hp gain on premium fuel cannot be simply attributed to simply opening up the exhaust and letting the truck figure itself out, proper tuning had to happen, so can we accurately assume that what actually makes up the Dump Tube tune is not visible to vF users?

    When will OVT AT Dump Tube tunes be available?

    As far as I'm aware, correct me if I'm wrong, 2.0 beta DT tunes were p5f-only?

    There are some tables and controls that aren't available as of yet. Also there wasn't a 30hp difference between tuned dump and tuned NA. Eventually VF Tuner will have access to code controls as well, like settings for octane learning and such
