Good Morning SA! Off to Seguin area to drop off truck, come home and mow probably. Happy first Friday!

 

Hey guys, I'm moving to San Antonio from Montana. Im used to being able to go find a trail to go wheeling on until I find a good place to camp, then wheeling out in the morning. Is there anything like that in the area?

 

Yes north west of San Antonio about an hour and a half out

Texas is 95% privately owned, nothing like Montana.


Welcome to SA, what brings you down this way and what part of town do you plan on moving too?

 

If you go on gaia there's trails marked and there's a off-road park in marble falls you can camp at

 

Yep that all ive been hearing is how there isnt much public land. I am a petroleum engineer so work moved me down here. Ive been looking in the north east part of town near Live Oak.

 

I'd advise to look at that area or any other areas during traffic times, do simulation routes.

I'm not a city boy, and that traffu<k on the North, NE, NW side of SA is for the birds.

 

Ok thanks I'll have to check into that. Im from a town of 330 people so no matter where I go traffic is going to feel awful.

No I work for National Oilwell Varco. I help design drill bits, they are opening a large repair facility in China Grove.

It's only half a day on Saturday it's about 110 miles should be done by 2 or 3

 

Oh shit I was looking at the wrong month. I'd definitely be interesting in joining, I sold my Tacoma and went to a Diesel ZR2 so I might be the odd man out in the group.

May I suggest looking SE of town then.
I'm in Wilson county, and about 25min from CG.

Kicaster, La Vernia, Southerland Springs are growing areas like Live Oak. Look for a community/area where GVEC has fiber installed.
