Real talk, for all the overdramatic freakout whining that Toyota would dare put a 4 cylinder in the Tacoma these days, I can't say I see people's lives being far better off with the 3.5 because of that garbage auto.

For what it's worth mine would hunt between 5-6 a lot but I would just jam out in the slow lane like IDGAF, and the jump or "shock" between deep OD and balls deep OD is essentially nonexistent so it hardly made a difference.

Also kind of why I've got the pants in a twist to get a T4R sooner rather than later, they're going to switch production over to Mexico and probably give it the 3.5 and that god awful 6 speed.

I misread your post, I thought you were referring to "here" as AZ/PHX area as compared to Texas. Derp.
